Good morning my friends-
Hey...today is the last week of the challenge so lets kick it in gear and put together some impressive hours, miles, eating days, etc.
We have a beautiful blanket of snow on the ground so that won't be much fun to drive on this morning.

Weather is rather gray and cloudy here and still very cold. They are predicting snow here with two different storms headed our way. The first they're not expecting much from but apparently tomorrow into Wednesday is another story. DS arrived home from Acapolco sometime during the early AM hours. Apparently there were several delays and he arrived home much later than expected. But he's home safe and sound and according to DH who saw him for about 2 minutes he's sporting a rather nice tan!
I've already been moving this morning. The day of rest yesterday helped my stiff and sore body and put in my Walk It Slim Tape. I hope to get my 30 minute stretch in this evening. I had a really good week last week and hope to finish up the challenge on the positive side.
I really did put aside household chores yesterday and need to get some laundry put away-so that will be my 15 minute project.
Hope your Get Moving Monday moves you in a positive direction!

I got an email from ivillage about fighting the cold with comfort food!!Like I need any more food ideas!
I got so excited this morning.Got on the scales and it looked like I had lost 8 pounds!!!Got back on(big mistake) and realized what I thought was a 0 was an 8.Darn it!I'm thinking about the 6 inches of snow and the 8 extra pounds(ok, 10 but I rounded off)I've put on.Maybe today would be a great day to order a summer outfit to work towards....
15 min. project, I remembered late last night I was going to bake DH some cookies.Maybe I'll do that and toss him and the cookies on the love seat...

Our temps are dropping here today. It was in the 50's and upper 60's all last week and yesterday, and now today we are supposed to drop into the 20's. Joy Joy.......
Mug of tea for me - it looks like I'm getting Little Al's cold.

Gotta get movin' again today - yesterday was lump-on-the-couch day for me. Not a bad thing, since I was exercising my brain with the Sunday papers, crosswords, and reading, but not exactly a fit day. At least I wasn't eating in the middle of all of it.
Did spend a few minutes watching the TV coverage of the Patriots leaving from Gillette Stadium - all those crazy people standing around in the cold. DH included! He hung around for a few minutes, then when his ears went numb he headed for the Dunkin Donuts shop about 3/4 of a mile up the road for the stadium along with a few other not-so-hardy souls. Chatted and had coffe with a bunch of guys, and when they saw the bike cops ahead of the buses they went running out to the highway to wave and give the thumbs-up to the players. Got some hardy waves in return. Not a total loss, and he still has his ears firmly affixed to the sides of his head.
1/2 cardio with intervals on the agenda tonight, along with weights. Dinner is leftovers, so I can make it as light or as calorie-laden as I choose - and I choose light.
Phyllis, regarding your little grandnephew. That's a little boy in need of serious rescue and a life of normalcy and predictability (never mind love, attention and guidance), and you and Johnny are very compassionate and selfless people to be considering taking him in. You have a wonderful heart, and that little guy would be blessed forever to be with the two of you. And if you didn't feel that you would be blessed by his presence yourself, you wouldn't even be thinking about it.
Have a great day, everyone!

Happy to report we were supposed to get snow....and none out there!
I'm feeling somewhat guilty (but happily so) with us hitting 80 briefly yesterday and going to the beach. It was too gorgeous a day to pass it up. Rob took his surfboard, but the ocean was the flattest I can remember ever seeing it here. There were dozens of frisky dolphins putting on quite a show all afternoon. We had a good walk, while Tim took it easy in a lounge chair. He's suffering from work burnout and needs a break. Didn't find any shark's teeth yesterday, but still enjoyed looking and having time to chat with my son. I got in some weeding and watering when we got home and did a large grocery shopping trip.
Today, it feels like spring in the mid-70's, and we may get a little rain this afternoon. I think we're about 2" short for the year already. There were two brush fires going

42 with a windchill of 39 here. I'm with you Deb. Glad that predicted snow didn't materialize. I think it just missed us and inland got blasted!
Power clean morning for me, so I won't be on the stairmaster, but I'm hoping to get some weights in this afternoon.
Eating was pretty good over the weekend. I always find stage 2 more difficult than stage 1 of South Beach. There's always the temptation to eat the wrong things, but I amazingly enough I've stayed pretty much on track. So far, I'm down six pounds.
My 15 minute project will be to list a few things on eBay.
Have a good day ladies.
Shar
