We got nailed. Nailed with 13 inches of snow over the last two days. I thought it would never stop. I even toyed with the idea that the earth was maybe moving away from the sun and it never would end. 13 inches of snow. I can barely say it aloud.

We got nailed. Nailed with the flu bug these last few days. I'm upright and taking nourishment today, but the last few days have been really uncomfortable. Not the stuffy head, bad stomach type of flu but the headache all the way down to your tailbone achy kind of flu. Back is sore, neck is stiff but I'm alive.

So I went outside and dug the snow away from Sparky the car (we call it that because in the winter time you get a spark every time you get out of the car and touch the door--had to have the cloth seats!) Sparky started up just fine after sitting out in sub zero weather for two days. So I decided I'd help the landlord with the 3 acres of snow removal he had to do. I did one 10-foot section of sidewalk and packed it in. My back isn't ready for that much scooping. Not as perky as I thought I was. But, at least I know I'm pretty fit...if sitting here drenched in sweat is an indicator of fitness like I'm told.

So, I'm off to the shower and probably back to bed for a nap. Gotta head back to work tomorrow and I want to be the best I can be. Hope you all have a great day!

Wow. Sorry you've been so sick, but very glad you're alive and on the comeback trail. I can't believe you helped your landlord with snow-clearing, with how ill you've been. Fit, indeed.

13 inches of snow, huh? And you're sending it here? Thanks - thanks a lot!

How's DH's doing with his quitting smoking campaign?

Take care!

I was afraid you were sick!!!But the (shudder) 13 inches of snow I hadn't considered. You may be right about the earth moving away from the sun.....

I kept getting shocked the other day every time I got out of my sisters car and now I know why!!I learn so much on this board.

Get in, get warm and take care of yourself.

Boy, you did get a double whammy! Glad to hear you're feeling better. I think it's a good idea to take it easy (now that you've finished shoveling snow!!!) while you have the chance.

Nope, not a bit normal for me to be this sick. But the doc assures me with the appendix problem I had it will take a while for me to get back up to snuff. Apparently it had been slightly infected for a very long time and I just got used to it. I thought I was doing pretty well, I haven't been sick since before Thanksgiving! At least 2 months. There for a while I was sure I had traded AF for an infection of some sort once a month...LoL...doc got a charge out of that one.

Today is 2 WEEKS for DH and not a cigarette smoked. He's doing great...and he's had a rough time the last few days but he's hanging in there. He's eating everything that isn't nailed down too, but I don't care...we can work on that later...besides, he's never had a weight problem. Quite the reverse, he's been really thin all his life.

Thanks for asking. I am feeling better today.
