Good morning to you! I'm the early bird this morning. Missed most of you at the chat last night.
What is:
Your Workout?
Your 15-minute project?
And what you're most thankful for?
I'll let you know

I'm up early, too for a Body Sculpting with the Firm video. Tonight I am off and have planned a 3 mile powerwalk besides cooking and shopping. DS needs new running shoes and I'm hoping to make Susan's (bnl) Sesame Chicken tonight. Also want to make a seafood chowder from an old WW recipe.
I'm most thankful for the many opportunities God places before me.
Hope you will be able to get warm today, ladies.
15 min project will be laundry and lots of it.Probably need to do some more cleaning too. Also need to get my car out!Still covered in snow.
Most thankful at this moment that my migraine is on it's way out!!!!
Miss P
Today's workout? Does running to and from a warm house to the car count? Actually, I'm taking it easy tonight with a nice stretchy yoga video in the relative comfort of my own home. DH is at 2 weeks today with no smoking and he's starting to get cranky. Maybe it's best if we just stay home and power lounge with a movie. Still haven't seen the Pirates of the Carribbean movie I got. Maybe I'll power up the DVD and go for it. Or else catch re-runs of CSI.
15-minute project? I have got to vacuum before I even think about yoga on that dog hair covered carpet. I didn't get it done last night and you can really tell if I miss a day. Too much dog, too little apartment...lol.
I am thankful for the gentleman who kindly let me change lanes in front of him last night at an icy intersection. No one else would let me over and turning left instead of right would have put me way out of the way to where I was headed. There are a few kind souls out there yet. Of course, this is the same guy who had cut me off a few blocks back and put my heart in my throat. I don't drive well in icy weather.
I'm also thankful for Sparky the Car. Sparky is a good ol' car even if she has a lot of miles on her. Always starts, even when it's super cold and stops even on the ice (thankful for anti-lock brakes as well).
Finally, I'm thankful for Puffs and Advil. Without them, I wouldn't have made it through the last week.
Have a great day!

Not quite as thermally challenged here as some but still a mere 18 with some good gusty wind! There is a reason why they call it Old Man Winter and he needs to move on.
Workout was 30 minutes on the treadmill, squats, lunges.
15 minute project-sock sorting-that should be interesting.
Thankful that if it's gotta be cold at least the sky is blue and the sun is shining.

This morning I'm going to get my workout in first thing (otherwise it just won't happen). Cardio on the treadmill, abs, chest and shoulders. DH was very complimentary of the noticeable toning of my upper body and back. From the waist down though...I really need some work. That's "the cardio zone" for me. Without major cardio, forget about it. Can't WAIT for dry pavement. So I'm committed to adding an extra mile on the dreadmill, even if it kills me (with boredom). I've got tapes, I've got CD's, I've got lots of entertainment and it is still so boring!
Kids are going in two hours late this morning, but at least they are going. Woo-Hoo! DH has an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon to schedule is knee surgery. My two boys (one is 13, the other turns 8 tomorrow) have an interview with a piano teacher today. Older DS has taken lessons and loves the piano. But younger DS...he is sitting down and playing chords and figuring out tunes without any instruction. Can't wait to get him in lessons. That's about it. Going to try to get up the hill at church to get some work done and hopefully get the heating people out to figure out why the sanctuary can only get up to around 63 fun-loving-degrees. My boss has been in sunny Florida all week and i had hoped to get major work done in the office, but the snow and ice made it impossible for that to happen. BU**ER.
Thankfuls...extra snuggle time with DH these last few weeks.
Hugs!
Sassy
We are cold here to in the Midwest!
"Thermally-challenged" - a term of perfection! Another day of brilliant, but ineffective sunshine. Temperatures aren't in the below-zero range, but it's still durned cold. One of our weather guys said we would be "flirting with bitter cold" through Saturday. Where has he been all these weeks? Is this what he calls flirting? It feels like a full-blown, long-term love affair that I want out of!
Workout tonight - not sure. I could get home at 8 or I could end up calling DH to come pick me up at work at midnight. It would be 40 min cardio if a miracle ensues and I get home on the early side. DH already knows that dinner is the leftovers left over from leftover night earlier this week; doesn't sound like much, but there are still a lot and they're still really good. Work - sheesh!!
15-minute project - how about brushing and flossing tonight?
Thankfuls - Silly ones: My new socks, 3" of soft puffy snow instead of that dreadful heavy wet stuff so many of you got, the new headboard, only three more days of Super Bowl hype to endure. I'm always grateful for the big stuff and never take it for granted anymore.
Have a great day!

My 15 minute project will be to clean up the house a little bit and get some organizing done. Just moved into this house a couple of months ago and am still working on making it a *personal* space with paint, design, etc. and doing it room by room, so some things that go in the home office and bedrooms have not been organized or put into place. I did manage to get my closet organized, tho. Yipppeee!!
I am most thankful for managing to be consistent with my workouts again without letting any emotional ups and downs stop me. My goal is to get even more intense with the workouts over the next few months and to be able to workout some with a personal trainer, at least for a month or two before summer gets here.
I hope everyone had a great workout day!
GOod Morning ...
Well, it made it up to 60 today after being 27 with frost everywhere when I took Rob to school at 6:30 AM. I got out and did a lot of trimming on the evergreen shrubs which continue to grow even in winter. I had to stop when it got just too painful for my lower back. It did feel good to be out in the sun doing something physical again.
What was supposed to be a 15 min. project turned into a real ordeal chasing down the dr. I went to for previous mammograms. Finally got that done and stayed on hold for-ev-er! At long last I got an appt. for APRIL 23rd. I am really overdue, so hope there'll be a cancellation to move the appt. time up. It is a relief to get it scheduled.
I'm thankful that I covered the plants last night, so they came through the freeze well.
I'm thankful that the president of the Rep. Women's Club thinks enough of my skills to ask if I'd be interested in running for treasurer next year and even more thankful that after I stopped laughing I had the good sense to tell her thanks, but no thanks! I'm more than happy doing the newsletter and PR and have no interest in an elective office.
Speaking of the newsletter, I'm thankful I got a double issue finished earlier than I ever have and got the disk to the printer yesterday and did all my PR emails to newspapers yesterday. Je suis finis! for February.
Thankful that I got a call from former U.S. Congressman (20 years)
