Good Morning,

What's on everyone's agenda for the day? Do you have a workout planned? Taking a day off? How's the weather in your neck of the woods? Are you ready for a tropical paradise-I know I am! Anything special planned for the day?

I know I'm always glad when it's Friday and payday too! Always a good combination! I have my workout completed although I will say, it was a struggle to hoist myself out of bed at the sound of the alarm. Friday is usually a melt down eating day, but hoping to keep it control.

So what do you think your day will be like?

Susan I just posted my day at Lori's. I am proud of you for doing your work out already. I wish I had the desire and will power to do this. Not to mention the strength. I feel so tiered.

Good morning, Susan!

I think my day will be better than yesterday. I might actually go home early; my boss already okayed that, and frankly, I'd rather be out in the daylight even if it is cold than get 5 hrs straight overtime pay for last night. Sometimes it really isn't about the money.

Heavy-duty workout planned for today or tonight. Have to make up for lost time on the dreadmill and weights yesterday. I think it'll be a reasonable eating day; I didn't have time to gather all my snacks this morning, so I'm thinking lunch will be a big salad with grilled steak that will take me all day to finish. Stupidly, I'm going to have to pay premium price for a single piece of fruit from one of the nearby take-out places for the morning snack. I have apples getting wrinkled and mealy in the fridge at home. What a waste.

I decided I'm not going to throw shoes during the game Sunday. I'm taking a Zen-like approach. I plan to stay serene and calm and confident of the outcome I want to see. I love a good plan....

Big hugs to all who are under the weather or just having bad days. It does get better.

Have a good one!

GO PATS!!

I'm almost afraid to start typing...not sure what's going to end up coming out. Didn't sleep at all last night, stressing about everything I have to do, won't get done, seem to never get done, around here and the office. As each day passes, I really believe God is trying to convince me to trust Him and quit my job and focus on the things He wants me to be focusing on, which obviously aren't the things I have been focusing on. It is scary taking that step when we rely on my salary also. But when I think about actually doing it, I almost feel a calmness about it. But not calm enough to actually do it. Yet. :)

No workout today. Today my baby turns 8. I'm not taking it too well. DH is off today and we're taking cupcakes to Brett's class around 9:30. Then we'll head back up to school at 11:15 to surprise him and have lunch with him. He's having "a couple of the guys over" for a party tonight and his best bud is sleeping over. We'll just do pizza and ice cream cake and they want to play Uno.

After lunch, I'll be up at the office.

Hugs.

Sassy

Hey, at least you get overtime! I was salaried, so it didn't matter how many hours I worked, the pay was the same. Talk about a bummer...

Sounds like a good plan. Bet you'll stick to it about like I do when I watch the Gators. ;-) I think you get points for good intentions though.

Good luck!

I'm one of those people who are salaried (low) who are given straight time overtime so we won't up and leave en masse in disgust. I guess we're categorized as "exempt". Basically, I'm a (somewhat) professional doormat, and "exempt" means from life after 5 pm.

Lots of changes corporatewide, so that little perk will be the next thing to go if labor laws will allow it. I take the comp time more often than the cash. They can't take taxes out of my time. The comp time is unofficial, basically between bosses and their direct staff. My boss happens to be one of the reasonable ones who recognizes extra effort as just that.

I guess this job is a mixed blessing. To misappropriate a quote from Sassy, "can't live with (it), can't bury (it) in the backyard."

Happy Birthday to Brett! It is upsetting for our babies to grow up! Hope he has a great time at his party!

I see. I was paid a good salary, but it wasn't enough to compensate for the misery there. I'm thankful every day that I no longer have to go there. My older sister has a job that the pay is much lower than what she was used to, but it's a lot closer to home instead of fighting traffic in D.C. and she can take lots of unpaid leave. She's been doing more and more of that as Lauren's pregnancy progresses and she'll take a lot
