What was supposed to be my hour

of refuge at lunch time didn't exactly turn out as planned. I love living so close to work that I can run home at lunch time. The house is empty and I have a chance to sit and read and bit and eat lunch...but not today. As soon as I walked in the house there is Otto standing admid all the kitchen garbage. Not sure how he did it since the pail is wedged between the refrigerator and the wall and underneath a shelf so that you really have to pull on the pail to get it out. Well apparently the mighty jaw and teeth are stronger than any wedged in pail. What a mess! I guess when a craving hits you just have to go with it! Just glad I hadn't thrown out the rest of the leftovers in there. Not sure how to remedy the situation. I've actually had to put some real thought into which type of garbage pail we can use to keep him out. Apparently I need to put some more thought into this. I love my Otto but...

Picturing the mess, smiling at Otto, and saying "poor Susan, what else" all at the same time......

I have to go along with Donna with saying poor Susan. It is a good thing there weren't leftovers in there. Yuck!
I really think you should write a book...The Adventures of Susan with Otto...always something for you! I can't wait to read the next episode...but let's hope there are no more. Especially messy ones.

Little Winston is a trash gourmet with the bathroom trashcan. I have to discourage him by dropping in a cotton ball of nail polish remover or tea tree oil to keep him out. My sympathys... ;-)
