Fabulous Friday Check in

How did your day go? Did everything go as planned or where there some bumps in the road? Did you plan and get a workout in? Any plans for the evening?

The workout was completed early this morning, eating went well in spite of my very favorite bagel in the office. I contented myself with a small piece and treated myself to a vanilla latte from Starbucks this afternoon. DH went to a Rangers game this evening and I had to run him to the trainstation. I should be at the grocery store but having a bit of a problem in the motivation department to leave the house again. DD is out shopping and is bring me home Panera for dinner. I've decided that Friday night is my night to indulge a bit in the eating department since it's usually takeout night. Moderation without overindulgence.

Work was another Frantic Friday afternoon. Although I had a very nice client bring me in a belated Christmas gift which turned out to be a $50 Macy's gift card. 15 minutes later I had a less than pleasant client standing there making remarks under her breath. Fortunately she was picking up her file to handle her legal matters herself. But the day is done workwise and I just may muster up enough energy to get to the grocery store, have something to eat and settle in on the couch in my jammies and watch TV. Haven't watched TV all week and While You Were Out and What Not To Wear are on. So that's the game plan for the day.

I hope your day was a pleasant one and you all have a good evening!

Oh Susan, I had to deal with Panera and my favorite bagel today, too. I was out with clients and they wanted to stop there and get lunch. The wife ate a toasted cinammon crunch bagel with cream cheese right in front of me. Accck! LOL I was good, though. Didn't want to be.....but I was.

As for the workout, Weeelll....it was kinda funny. I was looking thru my tape collection and saw a favorite step aerobics tape I used to do all the time. (Kathy Kaehler) I decided the treadmill sounded a little boring this morning and thought I would do that step tape instead. The only problem was I sold my step before I moved, so I tried to figure out some other way to do it and what I came up with was putting our two small white kitchen stepladders side by side and using those. LOL! It was a funny site to see, but it worked and at the end I was sweating more than I have sweat on the treadmill in a long time!

Tonight is relaxing with the bf, some grilled chicken for supper, and a couple of good movies.

Well my mood stinks but my eating was pretty good. I went to Curves this morning and put in 10 minutes of stretching and 30 minutes on the machines. I had Special K for both breakfast and lunch (don't ask), and a WW bar this afternoon. Just has a slice of frozen pizza that works out to 9 points (OY!) with a glass of water. We have to go to a wake so I need to get washed up and put some makeup on. We most likely will end up at the diner tonight so I thought I would eat a salad there with some FF dressing. Well that is the game plan. Tomorrow is the funeral so I do not know what kind of day that will be. Need to get done. Have a happy Friday all.

Headed down to the basement in a few for my workout. Dinner has to get into the oven, and the chicken, alas, lacks the mobility to stroll in there on its own. Broccoli and wild rice on the menu to keep chicky company.

Bumps in the road? How about a printer (the high-quality color one) that ran out of black toner with just 12 copies of 3 pages left to print? How about an engineer who loved his estimate so much he wouldn't let it go until the last minute? How about a consultant who offered to do the covers and bindings for the proposal and made too few copies to meet the minimum submission requirements? Shall I go on? My only concern was making sure my boss got on the road by 11:30 to bring this project to the client to meet the 1:00 pm deadline. Got him out the door at 11:45. All things considered, pretty good.

Thanks for reminding me about "What Not to Wear" tonight, Susan - I love that show.

Heading to the dungeon now....

Pretty good day today. I didn't get to the floors due to some unexpected political work that took priority (The floors will still be dirty Monday -- unfortunately), then the newsletters were ready at the printer, so had to pick them up, get them taped and stamped and would have printed out address labels except I found out a lot of important members aren't on the "paid" list for dues. I'm still waiting for word on how to handle that. Do I go ahead and add them to the mailing list and send them anyway, or do I wait for them to pay and leave them off? I want these on their way tomorrow.

Got a lot of errands run, enjoyed a Fandango salad at Panera tonight, and ate well all day until I had some chocolate covered raisins at the movies. It made it up to 67 today, so that was good too.

I'm pretty tired tonight, and I spoke too soon about my arms not being sore from all the trimming yesterday. The right one is especially sore. Hopefully, I burned some calories and tightened some muscles a little.

Not a very good evening. I started cramping extremely bad at work tonight - don't know why as I have 2 more weeks. Sure enough, it's very early. Nothing ever works for my pain & I have to work the whole weekend on my feet - I don't know when I will get in a workout now!

Good workout - 2.3 miles on treadmill in 28 min. Good all-over weight and ab work also. Good dinner - even have more leftovers!

And I fell asleep just as What Not to Wear started and awoke just as the credits were rolling at the end.

So sorry, Kat. I know what that is like. Nothing helps but a hot cup of tea, flannel jammies, the heating pad, and a warm bed. I hope you can do all of these things in between working. Sending tons o' hugs, girlie.

Thank you, Sassy sweets. I think it makes it worse when she gets here 2 weeks early!! That seems to make the pain unbearable. How dare AF intrude on my life so often! I'll be ok, and the tea & heating pad sounds wonderful - will do.
