Movie Review -- "The Big Bounce":

We knew before we went that it wasn't going to be any great social commentary, but the scenery was gorgeous, there were a number of stars, it had a neat twist, and we laughed a lot of times. All in all, we liked it.

The theater was having trouble getting it going, so because it was about 30 minutes late starting, they gave us all free tickets to use any time for any movie!!! We were pretty happy about that.

I saw in the paper that they are selling advance tickets for "The Passion, " which I DEFINITELY want to see. It opens Ash Wednesday (2/25), so I think I'll get them for that Friday. I hope it breaks all kinds of records after so many people have tried to trash it and Mel Gibson.

I kinda feel for Mel. I believe he has every right to state his opinion and if he has the money to produce such a lavish production, he should go for it. I may not agree with everything he says, but I will defend his right to say it. I'll probably see it now that I'm really curious about it, but I won't go to the theater. I'm not a theater person...so many people, so little room...

I understand the movie is all in hebrew and aramaic. That should be interesting.

Hey guys, here is a link to a review of Mel's movie if anyone is interested in reading it. I found it very interesting. This was sent to me by email from a friend.

I'm a huge Elmore Leonard fan...so I want to see this movie.

That's the one I posted a week or so ago that was emailed to me as being by Paul Harvey. I later found out it wasn't, but it's still a very credible, glowing review.

Owen Wilson is perfect in the lead. Love his dry delivery and the ending.

I agree with you. I heard it's in Latin and Aramaic, but with English subtitles to make it as authentic and by "The Book" as possible.
