Totally.

Schools are cancelled again today due to the ice storm we're currently experiencing. What a shame...I'll be unable to go to the office. Having anticipated this, I brought home some work to do today.

But, I will be getting in a great workout today. Cardio...45 minutes on the treadmill. Chest and shoulders and possibly legs.

I'm currently in one of those "life is spiralling out of control" trend. I'm trying to keep perspective. Trying to remain positive and focused on the wonderful things in my life. Having said all that, had a great chat with the boss yesterday and laid some things out on the table. I let him know he needed to support me and back me up on things. He was surprised at some of things going on at church. Partly might fault for waiting until I was in crisis mode to bring things up. So, I feel a bit better about it all. I'm looking forward to life improving all around.

Patty, I'm thinking about ya, girl. Heard y'all got snow and now are getting ice on top of it. Be careful going back and forth and don't you dare go to town today! (Sorry, it's the mom in me :)

Stay warm everyone. I know it's not Thursday, but I am so thankful for my nice warm house.

Hugs.

Sassy

I think I'll do something totally different today.Think I'll head uptown for a pedicure and manicure.Put a bright color on the piggies.Feeling alittle tense so I may as well have a massage while I'm there. And with all this working out I'm doing , not to mention the strict eating plan, nothing in my closet fits now so shopping is a must!!!!I hope the new bathing suits are out. Can't wait to try those on!!!

Or maybe what I'll actually do is take care of chickens, clean house, feed the guys, do laundry and hit the treadmill.Such excitement!!!!

We have snow and sleet coming down right now.Better stop soon cause I have to head out to pick up the new Kenny Chesney cd.Plus I promised Bea(my car) I'd pick up an adapter kit so she can listen to it too.Dh will probaly be home today and he is in quite the mood!!That should kick the fun level up a notch or two.

Haven't heard for Shar or Booty lately, miss you guys.Hope everyone has a great day!!!

BAH!!!

I hate winter. I hate snow. I'm in a mood and I'm not ready to stop it yet. My ankle hurts from all the scooping and falling down. My car is covered with grime and salt. Da bears are cranky and feeling cooped up. DH is cranky because he can't ride his motorcycle. I'm cranky because AF came knocking over the weekend. I can't stand it anymore! I had to take another of my precious vacation days yesterday because of the stupid snow and now they're callin' for more (4 to 8 inches) tomorrow. I may cry. We have already 2 feet of snow on the ground at my house. I swear, if I could find a job in Texas I'd be outta here. I'm sure there are those of you who have it worse and you have my deepest sympathies.

Ok, no I don't feel better, but it helps.

Today is Jazzercise day. I went last night after scooping and did low impact just to get the heck out of the house. Slip and slide all over, snow plows not plowing...grrrrrr.

15 minute project is done. Got my tax forms all copied and just have to get them in the mailbox today. YAY!

Have a great day.

Lori <--seriously thinking of having that meltdown and getting it over with.

Good Morning,

It's gray and gloomy and we're waiting for some type of weather event during the course of the day. Feeling a lot overwhelmed and lot underpaid this morning. Work wiped me out yesterday and anything I had planned for the evening was cast aside as I was asleep by 8:30 last night. I'm just trying to breathe deeply and keep telling myself this too shall pass.

Anyway, I did a 30 minute cardio this morning then on to squats, lunges all that type of thing. I'm hoping for a few more conscious hours this evening to take care of a few things around here this evening.

Other than that a dishwasher full of clean a sink full of dirty, wet laundry in the washer, dry laundry in the dryer and a basket full of my clothes asking to please be put away, a kid that's calling from 15 miles from home-I think there's something wrong with my car, a kid who's been walking around for almost 2 weeks thinking he has a hernia but doesn't say anything-what more could a woman ask for? Tropical paradise anyone? I know this too shall pass.

Hope your Tuesday is totally tremendous!

Lori,

I'd be saying a lot of bah's too. Two feet and still coming,AF, cranky dogs and a cranky DH-BAH, BAH and more bah's! Winter definitely has no fan here either. The snow and ice around here just hasn't melted and it's dirty and disgusting!

Hope there's a bright spot somewhere in your day!

Many hugs,

Susan

Good morning!

Cloudy and coolish, but everyone in town is in very sunny spirits today. It'll be chaotic in the city, but a good kind of chaos. And it's all happening a block from my office. I'm definitely going to get in on the fun - long lunch hour today for the victory parade; I may have to pull out some of that comp time from last week.

Workout today - so far just cardio, maybe cardio with big stretching and some ab work. My weight work Monday was only so-so, cardio was hardly heart-thumping, and I didn't stretch at all. It wasn't a good start to the February challenge.

15-minute project - too many ahead. I don't know which one I'll pick. I'm supposed to have dinner with my friend tonight, but the weather map had the word "ICE" superimposed over where I live. I was hoping it was supposed to be "NICE", but "NICE" didn't jibe with the rest of the forecast. I'm not enthused about having DH drive anywhere in that stuff to pick me up. So cancellation is a possibility, and thus polishing off all my 15-minute projects.

I'm going to take this half-time stuff to a different place. The owner of the Patriots, Bob Kraft, is supposed to be an influential member of the NFL ownership's TV committee, working out the financial agreements between the league and the broadcasters. His family's philanthropic work in Boston, among other causes, has made stopping violence against women one of their benchmarks. His wife insisted before he bought the team that they draft players of quality character or she'd make a lot of noise about it - the press up here had a field day with the notion that he would allow his wife's stand to influence him on personnel decisions. A few years back, they drafted one guy who had several assault charges on his record from his college days, and his wife pitched a major public fit about it - well, they never signed that guy, and two others who had domestic incidents were cut (one they kept around way too long, but he was let go eventually, although not just for the domestic situation). We don't know if anything else has gone on behind the scenes that the press just hasn't gotten hold of yet, but so far the ownership and management are holding to some principles. Anyway, I would like to write to Bob Kraft and hope I can say something thought-provoking enough to see if he can exercise some influence over the situation. It's worth a try, and definitely worth a 37-cent postage stamp.

Anyway, my mind is wandering, and that's not a good thing today. Too much to do if I want to go play for a little while today. So, back to work.

Have a great day, everyone!
