1. What's your favorite fairly recent invention?

I agree - caller I.D.!!!

2. What's your favorite kind of cake?

Italian Cream

3. If you add a colorful piece of clothing to your wardrobe this spring, what color will it probably be?

Soft pink - is that like a powder pink?

4. What's something you have trouble stopping eating once you get started?

There's lots of things - Cap'n Crunch cereal w/milk, Fazoli's bread and their ham & swiss sandwich, Johnny Carino's Chicken Scallopini, lots of different ice creams - my favorite being my own homemade Banana Maple Walnut, Matsu's rice (and I don't even like rice!), a good sesame chicken, some good bbq ribs & chicken - the list is endless!!!

5. Who would you like to hear sing the National Anthem at a sporting event?

I don't know - no one can top Whitney Houston's rendition, I agree!

Must have nuts and cream cheese icing!! Funny thing about the recipes. I've had mine since the 1970's and it's almost identical to the one you posted. It doesn't have baking powder or nutmeg, but has twice the cinnamon and nuts. Other than that the ingredients are the same. Oh, I do have nuts for the icing too.

1. What's your favorite fairly recent invention?E-mail. I hate talking on the telephone and rarely call someone just to chat. I just hate those dead silences!! However, I'm quite happy to e-mail people and "chat" that way.

2. What's your favorite kind of cake? Cherry pound cake.

3. If you add a colorful piece of clothing to your wardrobe this spring, what color will it probably be? Pale pink

4. What's something you have trouble stopping eating once you get started? Candy rockets and potato chips.

5. Who would you like to hear sing the National Anthem at a sporting event? Michael Buble.

If you don't know who he is, think Frank Sinatra/Harry Connick style. I heard him sing the Canadian and American National Anthems at one of the Canucks games a couple of weeks ago and could easily listen to him every game! I also think Clay Aiken would probably do a really good job!

Fun questions Rhonda.

No, it's sort of chocolate. My recipe has cocoa in it, but also butter, buttermilk, and vinegar, among other things. The recipe also calls for way too much red food coloring. Just remember what goes in red, comes out red!!!

I've also gotten so I hate to talk on the phone too. Don't know why that is, but it really annoys me unless it's one of a select few. LOL! I guess because so many of the women I know are marathon talkers, and that just drives me up the wall being attached to the phone so long. It also hurts my neck to hold my head at that angle the way you wind up doing on the phone.

I think Clay Aiken would do a good job too. He's so clean cut and has one of those strong Broadway sort of voices with a good range. He's going to be the musical guest on Sat. Night Live this weekend with Megan Mullaley (sp) from "Will and Grace." One of the promos is a spin-off on the Janet Jackson thing where she tears his pocket off and exposes one side of his chest. She is such a hoot that it should be a very funny show.

Add chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream to #4. Rob got me hooked on that recently. Aunt Flo seems really fond of it too...

I think it's the frosting that makes it. Cream cheese, real butter and lots of sugar!!!They now have a mix for the cake but I haven't tried it.
