I know what you mean about the job situation. When I worked and had a good salary, I spent a LOT more and didn't feel guilty about it. Now that I'm at home there are certain things I just can't justify. However, I do my part for the family here at the house, and thankfully, all money is considered ours.

After you scrape them, you can wash them with plain water. It does seem to make them work better once they're "seasoned."

You and Eric are the prime example that money isn't everything and there are more important things...like relationships! I understand, but still want you to be with us!

I, too, questioned the cleaning of the stone. But it really works. Sometimes I rinse it well with hot water and then scrape. The stone absorbs the soap so use it sparingly, if at all.

Hugs...

Sassy

Good morning,

No workout for me today! After 6 weeks of everyone else around here being sick on and off, my body finally gave in. I'm nursing an achey body and a cold, so I'm just going to take it easy today.

Adam and I are going to "build" some valentines for his *girl* friends at school. Gosh, they get fussy young! I bought him a box of Power Ranger valentines figuring he'd be thrilled. He decided that they were okay for his *boy* friends, but his girl friends would not like them and he need to have something more girly! So, we are going the doily, pink and red ribbon route and making them. Thank heavens there are more boys than girls in his class! :o) Too much fun! He confessed to me the other day that he "loves" a girl in his class. Her name is Olivia and she looked beautiful on this specific day and had red ruby slippers (red patent leather) just like in the Wizard of Oz! I guess we'll have to make a very special valentine for her! LOL

15 minute project for me....laundry! More like 15 hour project!

Does anyone have big plans for Valentine's Day? Or is it just another day at your house?

Hoping to do a 3 mi. powerwalk tonight and maybe some abs. Still queasy today from that stomach virus.

A one-way ticket to the island for me, please! If there's any sun this cold weekend, I will be out in my sweats soaking it up!

Have a lovely one, ladies!

I've spent a lot of the morning in bed. Not sick, just feeling really tired between the overcast weather and Aunt Flo's vicious attack. I was pleasantly surprised that it was 70 out at 6:30 this morning when I took Rob to school. What a shock to walk outside and have warm air hit me at that time of morning. The interplay of the bright full moon and the clouds this morning was just beautiful and so was the sunrise. The sun comes out occasionally, but it's mostly overcast. Supposed to hit mid-80's today, but once the rain brings the cold front in it's going to be only mid-50's tomorrow. Wish it were the reverse. Rob wants to go surfing.

Other than some chores around here, I'm not sure what I'm doing today. Tonight we're planning to go to Olive Garden (our belated celebratory dinner) and then to see either "Miracle" or "Cheaper by the Dozen."

Hope every is having a good day.

Rhonda

Welcome back from the depths of winter! You've been on what's left of my mind this week; I'm glad you're back with us.

Sometimes when you feel that way, you just have to go with it until you've built up enough reserves to shake it off. It's good that you rested and journaled and looked inward; now it sounds like the better eating and more exercising can kick in.

Have you seen the discussion group on the Purpose Driven Life below? Might be of interest to you.

Who's going to Asheville? Sassy, Patty, Susan, Grace, Rhonda, Phyllis, Anna, Linda, Nancy, you, and I. Did I leave someone out? I haven't booked my flight yet - trying to figure out whether to leave from Boston or Providence. I'm still waffling on whether I'm staying on Monday or leaving Sunday; I need to accrue more hours in my paid-time-off bank, since full-paid sick time and vacation now come out of the same pot, and I won't be at my new accrual rate until June 1. So much for the "our employess are our most valuable asset" sentiment.

Take care, Margie. Glad to have you back....
