OK, we're definitely related - or AF is twins. She's here, too, banging on the inside of my eyelids trying to get out. Hope you're better by this evening for your celebratory date night.
What a sweet post, Deb! I can't imagine living with the grey days as you do so often in your area of the country! I'm sorry your sisters feel so bad this time of year!
I probably have a touch of SAD myself, as this week has been rainy, grey & I've felt achey, sick to the stomach, depressed, etc. My ds said something that made me blink twice - I mentioned that I wanted to move south for the winter and he asked me if I would want to move to San Antonio. "Yeah!", I said & I'd really love to move even closer to the beach! That might be something for us to think about when he gets out of school. I'd love to live somewhere warmer than E. Texas! I'm hopeless about winter, but I KNOW Rhonda understands!
Your Adam does sound quite knowledgeable about what is romantic to a girl! They are so precious at that age! Have fun! I used to love helping Danny make his Valentine box for his valentines! Gone are the days of making pretty little cookies and things for his class, too! Boo-hoo!
I think I will make a little something for ds for Valentine's Day, though! Something heart-shaped.
Hope you feel better soon, Shar. That flu bug will wear you down! Hope you can get lots of rest today and this weekend.
I'm going to write a song - working title is "Hormonal Headache's Got a Grip on Me." Right now I'm thinking I'd trade the headache for bloat and water retention. Any takers?
I'm going to work out tonight. I'd love to get another weight workout in, but I'd settle for a strong cardio effort.
Big weekend plans? Rest. Clean house. Work out either Saturday or Sunday. Veg in front of HGTV, TLC, Food Network, and Travel Channel. Start taxes.
Trying to be deliriously happy, but only succeeding at delirious.....
AF (and your cute Adam story) obliterated the part of your post about you not feeling well. Sorry I missed that - hope the family offers you the TLC you gave them while they were down! Feel better soon..
Sorry you are having those mean AF headaches! If bloat & water retention were all we had to put up with during her visits, I don't think I'd fuss much. I'm not sure which I'd rather have, the headaches or my bad cramps. I usually don't get the headaches, but when they're here, they are screaming ones! I can even handle the lower back aches more than the headaches or cramps. Those two maladies are enough to make me throw a big hissy fit.
I'm glad Aleve works for you. Hope you feel better soon and have a restful weekend.
Hope you feel better soon, Rhonda! AF is busy! I've had her company since last Friday and she wasn't due at my door 'till this Sunday! Two whole weeks of the heifer! And on top of a stomach virus! I think the colder temps send her into a tizzy! I handle her much better in warmer times.
You did have a bad one just recently. See my mind? Swiss cheese. Are you getting some rest from Dillard's this weekend?
(If this song writing thing ever were to happen and we all contributed, we could probably write a song longer than MacArthur Park or American Pie....;>)

I'd say he's quite the sensitive young man being so attuned to the Power Rangers not being "girly" enough for the girls. What a cutie!
Aleve-ing the pain....

Patty,
I loved your post.
