What sort of planner are you....

I'm really trying to focus on planning and organizing and cleaning and tossing out, etc., etc., and I'm wondering how you all do some things. If you have a moment, please answer the following questions for me and toss out any other tips and things that work for you.
1. Are you a horizonal planner (plan your entire week out) or a vertical planner (plan your entire day out by the hour)?
2. Do you have a cleaning schedule set in stone (as much as one can be)? Describe (briefly) what it is.
3. Do you do laundry on specific days of the week or randomly when you have a free moment?
4. Do you do an entire load, start to finish to include folding and putting away in drawers, all as one "load"?
5. Do you use a wall calendar? counter top planner? PDA? Outlook or someother calendar software on your computer? Other?
6. Are you a "keeper" or a "trasher"? (For example, I become emotionally attached to everything and can't bear to part with things.)
Thanks for your help! I'm sooooo struggling here!

2. Do you have a cleaning schedule set in stone (as much as one can be)? Describe (briefly) what it is. Yeah, I guess I have to confess to that one. I do a big cleanup on Mondays. Dust, vacuum, clean the bathroom, change the beds, wash the kitchen floor, clean the mirrors, empty the trash cans and water the plants. Tues is a free day for me. I'm trying to get in the habit of taking some time for me on this day, to do my nails, pluck my brows, etc. I also do some laundry on Tuesdays Wednesday, I pick one "zone" and go through and do some more thorough cleaning and also check to make sure the fridge is in good shape. Thursday is my grocery/errand day. Friday is another quick whip round, clean the bathroom, do some tidy up and do laundry. We generally try to keep Sat and Sunday free for family things.
3. Do you do laundry on specific days of the week or randomly when you have a free moment? Usually Tuesday and Friday unless the hampers are overflowing.
4. Do you do an entire load, start to finish to include folding and putting away in drawers, all as one "load"? Absolutely!!! I hate laundry that sits in the basket and gets all wrinkled and I feel really lazy if it doesn't get put away right away.
5. Do you use a wall calendar? counter top planner? PDA? Outlook or someother calendar software on your computer? Other? I have a large calendar that I keep in my desk, another that hangs on the wall by the phone and occasionally I'll enter things in my desktop calendar, but I find it hard to keep up with that one. I also hang all school notes on a clip on the fridge so I can easily access them!
6. Are you a "keeper" or a "trasher"? (For example, I become emotionally attached to everything and can't bear to part with things.) I used to be an extreme keeper, but I've gotten much, much better. I have some very dear baby things and things from my mom that I keep, but I'm gradually weeding through the other stuff. In fact, I'm getting ready for a huge purge in my closet and drawers. I was looking at the things in there the other day and I don't wear at least 50%! I'm going to purge and then just pick up a couple of things that I know I will use. I've got old pj's and old t-shirts that are definitely ready to go!
Good questions Sassy!

2. Cleaning is NOT set in stone at this time. I try to do it once a week, and that's all I'll commit to. Once Allison goes to school, I probably will have more of a set schedule.
3. We've got a small family, so the laundry gets done maybe every 5-6 days. I do laundry when the hampers are about 3/4 full. If we've done yard work and have heaps of clothes (like this past weekend), the hampers fill up quicker, and I might do the laundry sooner. So it's not a set day, but it's not when I have a spare moment, either.
4. When I do laundry, I run three loads a session. As soon as the dryer buzzes, I'm there pulling out clothes and folding them (means less ironing - my most hated chore), at which point I most often put them away.
5. We have a weekly wall calendar - it shows a week at a time and has about 4 lines to write things per day. That's where we keep appointments, events, etc.
6. I'm a trasher... eventually. I might keep something that I don't use daily for a while, but eventually, it's taking up room I need for something else. We clear stuff out in yard sales about every other year.
