Yes. I play in our "Praise Team" which consists of a pianist (he is unbelievably awesome...I'll ask him if he knows a song and if he doesn't, he'll ask me to sing a few bars of it and then he picks it up and takes it. He is so good...he is able to anticipate pretty much how a tune will play out.), an electric guitar (he also does great vocals), a bass guitar (he also plays six string acoustic and does vocals), our leader (she has great vocals and a real heart for worship music), two other women who do vocals and 3-4 teenagers (including my oldest son) who do vocals. I play 12 string guitar and do limited vocals. And our role is just going to grow with the vision our new pastor has. Focusing more on worship...more contemporary with a little bit of tradition mixed in. We always had to fight to get the contemporary Christian music and ideas mixed in. Not radical, not liberal, but more up to date...reaching out to younger couples (20's, 30's, 40's, 50's). We participate each Sunday during the morning worship service.
You never cease to amaze me with all you do!!!I read about your weekends which I know are sooooo busy with three kids. Then you have your job on top of that and now to realize you also do this.Wow, you are really something!!!!!
That is so cool! Twelve string is awesome. I'd love for Rob to play in a church service. He used to play in his school Praise Team for 3 years -- first acoustic, then electric, and then electric bass.
