Had three sickies home yesterday afternoon, to include DH and even I took a nap and then slept like a rock all night. Slept right through my alarm this morning so I guess I needed the sleep. 'Course I slept right through my workout time today, too. B****r. Heading to the office early this morning. The next few weeks are going to be a nightmare. We're finally at the stage where the Pastor is being bolder about changes he's making and the people are resigning, walking out of services, making noises, lots of meetings, etc., We're starting the 40 Days of Purpose on February 21st so we're gearing up for that, which means that I have 3x the amount of work I already had and no extra help. So, I need to figure out what my daily schedule is really going to be and to get my buns up and moving to get my workout in every morning.
15 minute project...got all my laundry caught up yesterday, but still have a basket of clean, folded clothes to distribute. Unfortunately, no one has put their clothes away so I've got to crack theh whip on that this afternoon. My blood pressure is on the rise already.
I'll check in with you all later, for sanity's sake!
"Intolerable Cruelty" was good. George is at his best in romantic comedies, I think, and he and Catherine have good chemistry, which makes it more interesting and fun.
Going to make another attempt to get the oil changed today. Last time the wait was just too long. Also, we're finally going to get around to taking Rob for his learner's permit -- red letter day! I'm picking him up from school to try to get to the DMV and back before rush hour.
Looks as though we're going to have a good chance of rain for the next few days. It's OK though, because it's getting those trees and shrubs blooming for spring.
I've gotten back into reading Useful Idiots, which I'd started some time ago and put aside. It's a real eye opener about the Vietnam War and a number of other international situations. Has some interesting information about John Kerry's anti-war actitivities, which confirms what I've been getting from other sources. Obviously, I don't agree with his politics, but how ANY vet. could back him knowing his full history with Hanoi Jane and others is beyond me. Once the President comes out swinging and bringing up the past the way the Dem. candidates have about him this thing should really heat up. They want up close and personal, so that's what they'll get -- ALL the facts, not just selective ones.
I'd like to get in some walking today. I'm feeling it a little in my thighs and hips, so I should probably keep it up to build on that and keep from getting stiff.
Fifteen min. task is to read the next chapter of The Purpose Driven Life.
Have a terrific day all!

So you're picking up George today? Now that's a good way to start a day!
I am starving!!!!!Have to go to DR for check up and can't eat anything beforehand.I've been up since 4:30 and out in CL.I want some food!!!!!We're testing thyroid and cholestrol and not sure what else. Also have to get on the scales!!!Mine died in Nov and the ones I got to replace them don't read the same.First they were lower which was kind of fun. But the past few weeks the number has been as high or higher than old scales.I'm thinking that should tell me something......So this should be a fun visit today!
Yesterday was interesting.I had to call the siding company to give them my mailing address. The woman had me on the phone for at least a half hour, just chatting. At one point she asked for advice on talking to her DD about the facts of life!!!!!
Get back from Drs and go back to CL. Then I'm going to do a step workout and my weights.Workouts are going well lately. Food continues to be...interesting :)
Hope everyone has a totally terrific Tuesday!!!!For sure, man!!
Tonight is Jazzercise night. Yep, gonna go kick up my heels with my fav instructor tonight. She's having a "Sweatheart" party and some of the girls are bringing boyfriends or DH or someone along. Of course my DH won't go, but bah! Who cares? He wouldn't have fun anyway. Besides, he took a nasty tumble on the ice last night and jammed a couple of fingers pretty good. He might lose a nail on one of them. And it's his 'mousin' hand too. Oh the agony! Poor thing...he just laid there on the concrete clutching his hand to his chest.
So anyway, the class will be fun if it's anything like last year's was.
Today I'm determined to make it a good eating day. I have my plan on paper and at hand to refer to when I get munchies. I have my water glass and a whole big pack of sugarless gum. Probably wind up with TMJ...lol
15 minute project? I'm with Phyllis on this one. I need 15 minutes to list out my projects so I think I'll do that today.
Workout is complete for the day-treadmill and weights. I'm finishing up a load of laundry and cleaning up the after breakfast mess in the kitchen then off to work.
Hope you all totally have a totally great Tuesday!
Where's the frustration icon?? Well, I tried to get my oil changed, but once again it was so busy that I'll have to go back for all the services I want done. He recommended being there at 7 AM tomorrow. Ugh! Guess I'll have to actually get dressed before I take Rob to school instead of throwing on a windbreaker over my jammies.
I did get some good wooden skirt/pants hangers and a backup curling iron while I was out, since mine sounds as though it might go soon. Once the spring is gone, that's all she wrote...
I got some raking done yesterday, so think I'll head out and do some more before any showers set in.

What's worse than no network? How about a glacially slow one? Slow 'Net access, slow e-mail = a whole lot of reboots and not a heck of a lot of work getting done this morning.
So here I am. A beautiful day outside - took a nice little walk, watched a political demonstration by some obscure group or other from China (so the spring protest season begins early), had a nice healthy lunch, and now I'm getting back to the reality of work.
Workout tonight is 30 min cardio and as much weight and ab work as I can stand. I did do 40 min of cardio last night and felt really good after I was done.
15-minute project - I've given up on those. I think I get more accomplished when I'm facing a critical mass of stuff to do, like when the filing finally falls over, the mail hasn't been opened in 3 days and covers the coffee table, the dust bunnies have morphed into dust kangaroos, etc. So, I'll open the mail - tomorrow.

Happy icon for feeling well today!
I've mentioned our sweethearts party (it's Thurs night) to Eric a few times and he just smiles and doesn't respond! HA....so you're not alone.
