We need an exhausted icon!!!!Or maybe one that means life has just been too much today!!!!

I had a really great workout this morning.I had to make myself get on the treadmill, really didn't want to.But I got a run in and did inclines which I haven't really done with any running.Felt great.I even got my weights done.

My sister FINALLY got an appt. for her laproscopy. It will be the 23rd.This has been such a long drawn out thing for her.She also got a letter from Drs office stating that surgery is stressful both mentally, physically and financially. So to offset the financial stress she has to put up x amount of dollars when she sees the dr next week.I understand that but the tone of the letter was so impersonal.Especially when they told her they take Visa!!!

Todays been a day of off and on little stresses. My personal triumph for the day is that I didn't turn to chips during any of it!!!

So how has YOUR day been?Any personal triumphs for you?

Patty, glad to hear your sister got an appt. Of course, we'll want to be kept posted on what she finds out.

I guess I had a little triumph by having only carrot cake and not a piece of birthday cake too at the lunch today... Also, I ate the grilled chicken and broccoli and almost no pasta. I've been at the lunch and working at headquarters most of the day, and now have to do some computer work to update our member list.

It rained early this afternoon, then got sunny and was briefly as high as 87, and now it's cloudy again. What a day, weather-wise.

I'm kind of tired myself. I think it's the return of the clouds contributing.

So nice of the Dr. wanting to take the stress off your sister by letting her make a down payment.....sheesh.

No chips....man, this is a good day.

I had a good day too.

Personal triumphs? Hmmm......in the grand scheme of things, no biggy, but to me, this is huge. I got out of the office before sundown the day before a major proposal is due before noon. The whole thing was wrapped up before 4:30 - including a dog of a cost proposal, endless pages of backup, and a detailed technical proposal. Makes me wonder what we forgot or what's non-compliant. If I'm still wondering at 11 pm tonight, it'll mean another night of little sleep, so.....

I'm heading for the dungeon. I will do only 20 minutes on the treadmill and I will do an energetic all-over weight and abs workout - my triceps are callin' out for some attention, and my abs are feelin' poofy. Gotta stretch, too.

Will check back later if I don't fall asleep standing in the shower....

Personal triumphs-well it was a mentally exhausting day at the paying job today, but managed to get everything done and done correctly and didn't fall asleep at my desk at the end of the work day. We had a girl that worked in the office a number of years ago that between 4:30 and 4:45 every day her computer would go off, she would be found staring off into space with her jacket on and bag ready by her side when asked if there was a problem she answered no there was no problem that she was just waiting for 5:00. By 4:30 that too was my philosophy! Had some trials and tribulations going on within the 4 walls of home sweet home when I walked in the door but managed to esacpe without too much involvement on my part. I am indeed happy that my workout was completed early this morning because there is just no more energy left in these here bones. I've been really tired the past few nights and have been found dozing in my chair with journal and pen in hand several nights this week. It actually would be a major triumph if I could find a place like the one Phyllis posted this morning with a cabana boy by my side with a fruity umbrella laden drink on a tray for me and a massuese (sp) to work out the kinks in my upper back and neck-Ok so one can dream-Right?

Here's to a good night's sleep for everyone!

We ended up going to bed at 9:15 last night. I got my workout in around mid-afternoon, about 45 minutes of cardio (with weights) and abs.

Doc's letter... that's what I'd call a serious lack of bedside manners. I dunno, though - docs have to be so careful of what they say, especially write, because of the litigious nature of America these days. I'm glad she's got a date, finally. The waiting is the difficult part, and when you can't put it on the calendar, so much worse.

Here are some icons for ya! I've felt like the first one most of this week.

Tired

Yawn

Sick

Well, I didn't fall asleep in the shower, but I crashed very quickly after it. I did 25 min of cardio/2+ mi in 22 min(!), and about 40 minutes of weight and ab work. I also did a new move for me - raised-heel plies with my 6-lb dumb-bells - and my hammies are chewing me out this morning for it! But I'm going to keep doing them - I think they're hitting my inner thighs a bit, also, so that's a really good thing.

I didn't have time for dinner (and DH had a great lunch at a seminar, so I was guilt-free about not cooking) - a mortal sin in the SBD world, but somehow I didn't wake up this morning ravenously hungry, so maybe I dodged a nutritional bullet.....
