Memories of Italy

Good morning fitness felines-

After watching Under the Tuscan Sun last night I had to put this picture in for the day.

THANK GOD IT IS FRIDAY! I am so celebrating. I'm working out today. Kicking my own b**t on the treadmill and then hitting the floor for abs and I've GOT to do chest, chest and more chest. The pounds are creeping back on. I'm getting cranky (even more so than usual) and I have been hating life! I should be in the office around 9:30 this morning. Let's change that...there are OTHER people that think I should be in the office around 9:30 this morning for a training session that has nothing to do with me, to run errands that they should be doing, etc. I'll get in after my workout. Won't be before 10:00, I would imagine.

I've called and left a message for a cleaning lady. Didn't hear back from her. Will call her again today and if I don't hear from her this weekend, I'm moving on to someone else. But I am getting someone to clean my house every other week.

I ate three, yes, THREE KK donuts yesterday. Talk about your stressed induced, mindless eating.

I'm taking back control TODAY.

Hugs, Ladies.

Sassy<-she's back, she's bad and she's mad... :)

TGIF! A cloudy morning here, but at least it's dry. I'm ready for the sun to come back to stay for a while, but I think there's a 90% chance of rain tomorrow -- not good for the Daytona 500 if it's that high down there (a little over an hr. away).

Today is a Red Hat lunch at a beautiful yacht club, so not only will the scenery at this grand old converted mansion on the river be beautiful and the food will be great, but I'll get to see several friends again today.

I hope we'll make it to a movie tonight and have dinner out. I'm liking cooking less and less. When I have a big lunch like today just soup and salad or even just one of those is plenty for dinner.

I had Rob forward two emails to Erin for me. One is letting her know that I told the Bush-Cheney regional director about her, and he'd like her to contact him to see about helping out in the Orlando area. The other was letting her know about volunteer opportunities for the President at the Daytona 500. She had become a bit of a racing fan and is a good conserative. We'll see if there's any reaction. I gave her the email addresses of the people in charge and told her she didn't have to contact me or work with me, so she wouldn't stay away because of that.

Not sure what else is on the agenda today. I'll see how I'm feeling this afternoon.

Have a great day everyone!

Rhonda

Goo morning!

Friday! Friday! WooHoo!

Workout plans? Gonna lay low today. Had a super workout last night after which the Jazz instructor brought in heart-shaped pizzas. I think I have a new favorite instructor...LoL. This was the first time I went to her class and she is fabulous. I found out later that she is the trainer for our region so I guess she'd better be fabulous.

No plans for Valentine's Day. Good chance I may have to work tomorrow depending on how well today goes. I have an exercise date in the morning with a friend from Jazz so I'll be heading out there first. Gosh, I hope DH doesn't get me chocolate again this year...

I'll check out Dr. Phil's quiz. Jeff isn't much on quizzes but I may be able to twist his arm enough. Thanks Phyllis.

OOoo...a cleaning lady. Some days I'd give my right arm for someone else to clean the house....lucky duck.

Good Morning,

Finally Friday is right-hooray for Friday and pay day too! I'm really tired this morning. My 5:15 AM rise and shine was met with little to no enthusiasm this morning...but to the basement I went and maybe it wasn't such a great idea. I was hoping for a jump start to the day but didn't quite work out that way. Just seem to be looking for the bottomless cup of coffee and maybe some sweat pants, sweatshirt and warm fuzzy slippers for the work ensemble of the day...but somehow I think management wouldn't take kindly to that. Just hope the work day, the post Friday dash to grocery store goes quickly so I can take residence on the couch for the evening.

Valentines Day no plans as of yet. DH and I always exchange cards and there's usually chocolate involved although I've been hinting how much I would like to get the new Norah Jones CD.

Hope your Friday is a good one.

This is a week I don't mind kissing goodbye, stress-wise, though it's revealed some beautiful people to me, and I wouldn't trade that. It's not over yet (with my parents, that is) - as I told a friend via e-mail yesterday, I'm going to wait until after Valentine's Day, rather than say "Happy Valentine's Day! Love You! Oh, by the way...."

Going to get Body Sculpt in today along with abs work and extra inner thigh work. Haven't decided what we'll be doing for dinner tonight. Friday's are usually take-out, but since we're going to dinner tomorrow as a family for Val-Day, I might want to save the $$.

We're not super gifty people, and that's the way we want it - what would we do with more stuff? We got cards for one another, and I usually pick up a box of candy for the two of us and a smaller one for Li'l Al - they don't sit around and gather dust, LOL! I occasionally get flowers from The Cus on Val-Day, but it's not routine (more than likely to happen if Val-Day is on a weekday), so it's always a wonderful surprise when he decides to do it.

I saw part of Dr. Phil yesterday - don't know if I saw the same couple because I came in half-way when they were taking the quiz. I might check out the site. We've got a great relationship, or so I think, and the possibility of coming out vastly different on an assessment is disquieting. Still... my curiosity is piqued. I'm a sucker for relational and self-awareness quizzes, and if we look to God rather than let a quiz run our lives, it could be interesting.

Good morning!

TGIF before a 3-day weekend - I feel like it's summer vacation. Well, a rude awakening awaits me if I go outside in shorts and a tank, but you get my drift...

Valentines are written and sealed - no gifts. DH and I are celebrating tonight - we don't want to deal with the crowds, the rush, the limited menus, and cranky waitstaff. We're leaning toward Thai food - the place has been around forever, it's pretty (recently moved and renovated), the food gets raves, but we've never been. Tomorrow night I'm cooking hubby's favorite dinner - roast beef with gravy, roasted potatoes, salad, and broccoli with hollandaise. Dessert - think I'll check out the recent dessert post.

I'll do 30 min of cardio somewhere along the line today. The weather is gorgeous and screaming for me to go out and enjoy it, so I'll take a walk at lunchtime; I've got some errands to do. I think my boss will probably come by and tell our graphics guy and me to shoo at 3. At least those are the vibes I'm going to be sending in the direction of his office....

Have a great day, everyone!

Donna
