I don't think I've EVER come to this board and found that none of you has already posted the greeting for the day.

Good Sunday, everyone! It is bright & sunny here & I love it! A 3 mi. powerwalk is planned for today and then on to work. Can't make it to SS but I did manage to get my devotionals of Purpose Driven Life and Power of a Praying Woman in and I watched a little of Arthur Caliandro. Yes, he is my favorite TV preacher. Someday, I'd like to visit that church (which is the oldest church in the U.S., I've heard).

Sassy, I've decided to do a study from the BIBLE on tithing - the word "tithe" is listed only 4 or 5 times in the concordance of my Bible, I think & in the Old Testament. However, I'm sure Jesus, Peter, Paul, and other apostles must have mentioned something about it - I know there are many passages in the New Testament regarding the life of a Christian. This may take me awhile, but I'm asking God to give me an open mind . . . I DO know that tithing and offerings are two completely different things.

Have a blessed Sunday all!

Good Morning

It is a super sunshiny morning although a bit brisk in comparison to the past few days we've had.

No workout planned for the day as Sunday is usually my rest day and have to say I'm a bit sore and feeling quite lazy today. I really cleaned the house up yesterday and was so happy to take a hot shower and retire to the couch last night. Been out and about with DH this morning to Target and Costco. I wanted to look around a bit in Target but DH was a man on a mission this morning and that cart was always two aisles ahead to me so no time to stop and peruse. I have a few household things to take care of but I'm looking forward to sitting in the living room that is just flooded with beautiful sunshine and curl up on the couch with a book that I've been trying to finish all week but have just been to tired to read in the evening.

I have a turkey breast to cook for this evening's meal and I'm going to try mashing some cauliflower. I had it when we went to dinner at Rudy Tuesday's a few weeks ago and I know Donna has mentioned it. Has anyone else tried it?

I'm off now to attend to the household things so that the couch is mine this afternoon.

Hope you all enjoy a Super Sunshiny Sunday!

What a great idea! Here's a site to check out. I searched the word "tithing" within this site and a bunch of good stuff popped up. Share your "ah-ha" moments!

This site has a lot of useful financial stuff.

Good luck with the bible study. Thinking about you and keeping you in my prayers!

Hugs.

Super sunny, 72, and breezy here. Took Rob and friend to Lowe's to get some supplies to build a skateboard ramp and the place was swamped! Everyone must have spring fever, because they were hauling out home improvement stuff and plants as fast as possible. I even got 36 more snapdragon plants that are and pink/yellow combination.

I've had a bit of a sinus headache after a brief ocular migraine, so I'm taking it easy right now. I was watching bits and pieces of the Daytona 500 (saw that 12 car pileup) and read the paper. I'd like to get those flowers planted later.

If we're not too lazy, we'll go out to eat tonight.

Pooped from the party last night---been doing recaps on the phone with my friend today (snafus a plenty!), and reading magazines.

Well here in IN we've had a few nice sunny days and I'm sure ready for spring too! It will be so nice to be able to get out in the yard and do some planting. Can't wait.

This weekend was the first in a long time that my husband took off so we had a nice Valentines too. He works night shift so we don't get to do much usually.

Well I'm off to get this day started. Time to get my son out of bed and down for some breakfast. Sure hope I see some sun again today. It's cold but when the sun is out it sure makes everything so much easier to do.

Have a good day!
