Time invested in improving ourselves cuts down on time disapproving of others.

That personal chef demo sounds good! I'd rather have one of those than a maid. What a luxury to have someone fix healthy meals for you all the time, so that even when you're tired it's there instead of the handiest thing you can grab.
It feels so good to have cleaned out my closets. I need to attack the dresser now too and finish a couple of shelves in the closet. I saw on the news last night that more "lady like" fashions are coming back in. I have to say I am so glad to see the return of class -- knee length skirts, waists at the waist, tops that cover, etc. They say that the movie "Mona Lisa Smile" may have had something to do with it. I love classically styled clothes for "dress up." Of course, my uniform is still jeans and T-shirts or jeans and sweat shirts, or sometimes Yoga pants or sweats. I'm just tired of seeing too much skin, particularly on people who should be covering it. Even Tim said he can't wait until the styles change. He's tired of seeing people with "Dunlap Disease" (Their stomachs (hips and butts) have dun lapped over their pants. ;-)
I'm happy to see the sun coming up earlier. I get a little more energy that way. Tim found out yesterday evening that he has to make a run up by Asheville late this afternoon for a couple of days. Wish Rob and I could go with him. I'll be taking Rob to the orthodontist this afternoon and guitar tonight. The excitement never ends!
I've been doing a few squats and lunges and hope to gradually increase my exercise. If it's not too cold, I might even get out for a walk today. No snow sighted last night, but it was really bone chilling damp. We had a fire in the fireplace.
Oh, Phyllis, my sister and her daughter just got back from Steamboat Springs. She rented a 7,000 sq. ft. 3 level house for a week

Not sure what's up for today.I may take some time off this afternoon from CL to do something or to do absolutely nothing.
BNL, hope you don't have the flu and that your family is feeling better.
Take care everyone and enjoy your day.

We've finally had a warm spell. Yesterday was positively balmy at 40 degrees and today is supposed to be a bit warmer than that. Finally getting rid of all that yucky, dirty snow. Tomorrow night it's supposed to rain then change to snow on friday. Special, huh?
Speaking of friday, my lab is having our annual Christmas in February party. We put it off until late winter every year because everyone is so busy at the holidays and well, we can use the lift about now. It's at the local pizza joint with their buffet & salad bar. I don't know what I'm going to do about the carbs. I may have to punt...
Today's workout will be at the gym most likely. I need a good, hard workout so I'll get on the MFH and go to it after work.
Have a great day everyone.

Morning...
The plans are for today is too have way too much in P.E....yesterday I finally got batteries for my pedometer..went 15 miles at school!
Snow? What snow? No snow here. A few miles southeast of Boston, though it sounds like a mess. The northern edge of the storm for once didn't include my town, so DH and I escaped without having to shovel at 4 am. Actually, it was DH who escaped shoveling. It's weird, but the air temperature is in the low 30s, but it feels warmer because the wind is dead calm. I wore my big French Lieutenant's Woman coat and storm boots today and felt uncomfortably warm in them.
Workout tonight is 45 min of cardio and 15 min of stretching. Especially stretching my ankles; I need some help keeping shin splints at bay. Anyone have any recommendations for good lower leg stretches, besides heel lowering/raising? Appreciate your help here - TIA.
I got a new computer at work. Much faster, MUCH more space in the hard drive, got a CD burner, and my whole setup finally makes sense.
Susan/bnl, how are you feeling this morning? I hope you didn't develop the family's illness overnight.
Have a great day, everyone!

Morning everyone, made it through my 1.5 hr dentist appt and thought my mouth would be quite sore today..but it's all good.
So glad our State Senate race is over - the Republican candidate that Texas Assoc. of Realtors endorsed won the hot runoff election, so now maybe I can have some peace and quiet from politics until our April golf tournament fundraiser! Texas politics can get so dirty! We have a luncheon at a nice French restaurant tomorrow to find out about E-commercials for Realtors (pesky popups, if you ask me!). I'm exhausted from all of the meetings the Realtors have and from Dillard's. The Dillard's corporate people said our children's clothing dept. was the best one in all of their Dillard's - it better be for all of the hard work we do over there!
I'm behind on Purpose, so will answer that later & my computer is still MIA!
