Good news/not so good news

Hi, all....well...the good news...bone is healing and I don't have to have a bone stimulator. The line in the bone is not as noticeable on the x-ray. Not so good news...I am in a cast again for another 2 weeks and I have to keep using the crutches. I go back to the doc March 3rd. Again I am disappointed but it is encouraging that it is fusing.
This really puts a cramp in my style. I am stuck in again since I can't drive. I am supposed to take it easy and not exercise again. Since I did do some floor work and weights the past two weeks and things are ok, I am going to continue doing it.
We have tickets to see The Producers on Broadway March 6th. (I am very excited about that!) If foot looks ok, I will get a soft cast. If foot doesn't look completely healed, then a hard cast again. I am really hoping that isn't the case. It will be so hard to ride the LIRR, get through Penn Station and maneuver around NYC. I never noticed if there were elevators in Penn Startion. Time to check it out!
I am also supposed to go to FL to visit my sis March 10 - 17. I may have to cancel that since I am traveling alone.
Oh, my, so much to think about. So far so good with DS...we have about 7 more days to wait for the all clear.
There is my update. Can someone also tell me why I am torturing myself by watching FITtv everyday?
Hugs

I like the good part of your news - at least the bone is fusing and you're on your way to healing. Even the bad part has a silver lining - you're maneuvering on crutches like a pro by now. I'm sorry your trip is in jeopardy, though; I'm sure after all this sitting around you were looking forward to a change in scenery. And your son is still symptom-free. The best news of all.
Here's a link to LIRR/Penn Station details if you're interested....

Hey, there-Grace,
Yes very good news about the foot healing!
Thanks for the link for Penn Station, Donna. I put it in my favorites...glad to see there is an elevator.
I guess I watch FitTV for ideas for when I get back to teaching classes. I have gotten some good ones already and have taped some of the Cathe Fredrich shows. I can't wait to do some of those.
Thanks for you post!

Stress fractures are sometimes harder to heal from then a break. Usually, people are casted when they have them. That is really too bad that you DS has not healed from his. Maybe he should take 6 weeks out to heal it up and then be ready to play sports back to full ability. Good luck to him
It is frustrating, especially with being an aerobic instructor, but I do see light at the end of the tunnel now that the healing has begun again.
Thanks

I do find watching FitTV gives me hope to be able to do things again. I also get more ideas for floor work that I can do now.
Gotta believe that

You are right Michele...I do feel better after I do some sort of exercise. It isn't what I really want to be doing, but it is something.
FitTV does keep me motivated and something to look forward to. I imagine I am the instructor in the exercise shows.
Thanks for the encouragement.
