My sister was to go to the Dr today to talk with him and register at the hospital for her surgery on Monday.Mom and other sister went with her today.I had to stay home because of chickens and was going Monday.Call comes thru earlier from a pay phone. It's my older sister. While at office they talked with my sister and told her one Dr said fibroid, one said tumor!!!!!Then they did an exam and could not find ANYTHING!!!!!Some thought that possibly it was a cyst that had gone away. Sent her to hopsital to have another sonogram. That was at about 2pm and I haven't heard anything yet!!I just talked to her BF and he said that a modular home had fallen off the truck it was on on top of the mtn. they have to come over to get home. Maybe that's why they aren't home yet and we haven't heard anything.Older sister did not take cell phone like we told her to so they can't call!!!I can't stand the thought that my sister sat there and heard this may be a tumor even though we knew that. And I'm wondering why if one dr thought he saw that have they waited so darn long with this!!!!!Ok, I shouldn't focus on that just think positive thoughts that it is a cyst and it's over.Sorry to post before I have definite news just needed to talk with my buddies. Thanks!!!!

Prayers and hugs, Patty for you and your sister(s). Geez. This just goes from bad to worse, doesn't it? She really, really needs to find a good doctor! Even if it is a tumor, chances are it is benign.

Hugs!

Sassy

Can you spell confusion? Your poor sister, and poor you scared of you don't even know what! I'm thinking good thoughts here, too, Princess. Please post when you hear something definitive.

She finally got home and after 2 trips to the hospital and 2 to the drs office the surgery is back on for monday.Dr is more optimistic that it is a fibroid which is good news. She has had such a day, feel so sorry for her.

Thank goodness! I hope everyone in your family can manage a good night's sleep tonight - you've all earned it, especially your sis.

Take care, Patty. I'm sure her surgery will go without a hitch.

I hope that you all can rest a bit now that this is getting a bit more resolved.

Patty, glad to hear that after all the anxiety that was caused it will probably turn out to be a fibroid instead of a tumor. I know you all will be so glad when this is over with. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

What an awful day for everyone involved! Keeping fingers and toes crossed that your sis is not dealing with anything more than a fibroid.

Fibroids are totally weird. I had one during pregnancy that both I and the doc thought was the baby's heel, but it remained after giving birth. It was the size of a golf ball. By the end of the standard 6 week recovery period... the thing had totally disappeared. No trace of it, and it hasn't resurfaced since. Totally weird. If it is indeed a fibroid your sis has, that could explain the difficulty in diagnosing - and finding - it. Offering prayers that's all it is.
