After a little hiccup on tuesday, wednesday I made it through the first day of SBD with only a little angst. In my mind I ate way too much stuff to be on a diet though.

Scales yesterday morning: 197#

Scales this morning: 192.5#

No, it's right, I checked and double checked. But how is that possible? Must be water weight.

But for today I feel skinny.

Yes, it does feel good. I don't know how long it will last, but I'm enjoying it today. Now I just have to fight off the urge to weigh myself every 10 minutes...LoL...

Thanks for the support.

Believe it Lori! It says you can lose 13 lbs the first 2 weeks. It may be water, but I agree...who cares...the scale is going down!! Good for you...I bet you feel encouraged to keep going.

Yes, I am motivated to continue. Day 3 is loomng large here...

The real challenge will be getting through the weekend unscathed. But you know what? Even if I do cheat a little, I'm eating WAY better than I was and I don't feel too deprived (I still want a PB & J...one of my favorite breakfasts). And I'm getting a little tired of eggs for breakfast so I need to find an alternative. But I'm good.

Have your PB on an apple (no J for a while, unless it's sugar-free). I don't know if the rules on Phase 1 about fruit have eased up like the ones on dairy, but how bad is an apple compared to 2 slices of bread?

It's tough with Day 3 and 4 falling on the weekend, but I think you're up to it, Lori. Anyone who can take 2 Jazz classes in one day can do anything she really wants to.

Good luck!!

I totally agree with you Donna. Have your PB with an apple! Yes, they do have some natural sugar in them, but they are loaded with so much other good stuff. If you need to cheat, make it a good one and not processed stuff!!

Good luck. I know you can do it!

Make mine the 3rd "yea" for the apple with PB. I was hooked on that for a while and had to stop, because I was eating too many. They remind me almost of a caramel apple. I even did soy nut butter on mine too -- a little different, but once

Man, you guys! I want an apple so bad! I really miss my fruit. I thought I'd miss chocolate, but it's fruit I'm dying for. I have some absolutely beautiful oranges in the fridge...tiny but beautiful...and I keep looking at them and smelling them...why do I torture myself so?

Actually, chocolate isn't that bad. This morning at break we had our weekly trivia party and one of the guys brought two bags of mini chocolate candy bars and I didn't touch a-one. Then at lunchtime someone tried to give me a rice krispie bar with chocolate frosting...but I finally convinced him I didn't want it (when in fact I was convincing myself as well). And then someone tried to get me to split a piece of cake but I held my ground. Not so bad. Didn't know I had this much will power. Don't know how bad it will be in a week though. I'm starting to like the mocha ricotta cheese thing though....

Lori <--really, really want an apple with peanut butter...

Isn't it amazing how much junk food there is at work, and how badly people want you to consume it with them? As though if you eat it the calories are going to magically stay out of their bodies... It's maddening when people know you're trying to diet and they still do everything they can to derail it. Good for you for having such great willpower. You'll have earned that apple or orange.

NO, No!!!Do not feel stupid! You're human that's all.And figure it up, you have been successful more often this week than not.Chalk those cookies up to being human and move on.You're not gonna let a few cookies get in the way of what you want are you????

I believe in you and know you can do this.No promises that it's going to be easy. But can promise you that you have alot of friends in your corner with me being first in line.

Love ya!

Patty.. who did so well with chips til today so I really do understand.
