After a little hiccup on tuesday, wednesday I made it through the first day of SBD with only a little angst. In my mind I ate way too much stuff to be on a diet though.

Scales yesterday morning: 197#

Scales this morning: 192.5#

No, it's right, I checked and double checked. But how is that possible? Must be water weight.

But for today I feel skinny.

Dang girl, you're gonna have me cryin'. Of course you're right Patty. Thanks. I'm just so darned disappointed in myself. I told myself to just stay at my desk and don't even go to break. But NOOOoooo. Now I'm practically sick to my stomach between the cookies and the frustration. I won't let it stop me but I'm feeling a little sidetracked right now.

And I'm still going to have 1 piece of pizza tonight...I had already decided that...

yum. i love brown rice. and oatmeal. I had oatmeal for breakfast today. It's not easily available in Italy, so I had to hunt it down... But we had wet snow and rain today, so it was great to have the oats here for a warm breakfast for a change.

Why even try? Because your health is worth it, girly! You did ok for a couple of days; now shake it off, climb back on that horse, and try again. Nothing to lose by trying. BTW, at least you saved the splurge for something outstanding.

You disappointed yourself? We all do it, everyday, over one thing or another. Forgive yourself!

You sound like Rob with your "dang" expression. LOL! I was doing well too until I bought some chocolate raspberry frozen yogurt and decided to have that in place of lunch!!! I also bought some apples while I was out, because after we talked about it so much I've got a craving for apples and peanut butter!!

Hang in there, Lori! You're doing fine. Everyone backslides, but that doesn't erase the progress you've already made this week or will continue to make if you just stick with it. Think of those cookies as kicking up your leptin production... Wouldn't you be surprised if you'd lost more tomorrow??? That doesn't mean we can do that kind of stuff all the time, but once in a while can actually be a good thing.
