Good morning-
This has been such an awesome weekend.
No scheduled workout for me today. Church (if I ever get my buns in the shower) and then tons of things to do around here today. Looks gorgeous outside, so maybe one of the kids and I will go for a stroll later. DH's knee is looking much better today. The 40 Days of Purpose simulcast was incredible! If you have the opportunity to participate in it sometime in the future, I highly recommend it. The next 40 days we'll be focusing on The Purpose Driven Life during church, Sunday School, small groups on Sunday nights, Wednesday evenings, etc.
Tomorrow we begin the South Beach Diet. Not sure I can completely give up fruit, though. If I have to, I'll munch on the low glycemic fruits. Tomorrow also begins a busy, busy week full of meetings and appointments, workouts and oh, yeah...WORK! I'll have to be up very early tomorrow morning to get my workout in. DH and I have an 8:15 a.m. appointment with the school psychologist.
Later, girls!

I'm heading to Sunday School - have to work, so no church for me. What's really a bu**er is that I get out of work at about 6:30 pm & evening service begins at 6. Also, the Women's Bible Studies and meetings are at 11:30 and 12:00 for lunches (when my coworker takes her lunch & yes, she always has to take that lunch hour, she insists). I can't even go to the symphony luncheons without taking a vacation day. Oh well . . .
Have a blessed Sunday, all.
Your post sounds so very happy and that is fun to 'hear'.

The 3 points the minister brought out were: 1. Recognize who you are - a saint! (The church members were addressed as saints in the New Testament). 2. Visualize what you have - all of the spiritual blessings Christ has - we have a joint account with Jesus.
3. Emphasize whose you are - accepted by God in Christ Jesus. God loves with a perfect love.
Well, I'm off to get gussied up for SS.
Hugs,
Kat
I think I'm heading out for a run soon.Have kind of cleared my day to be able to check on my sister today. She can't eat anything and has to drink some stuff this afternoon.I'm alittle worried about her being by herself this afternoon.I love my family to death but today they are driving me alittle crazy!!!My Mom is tryng to control things that haven't even happened yet.My older sister is arguing with Mom about when to leave tomorrow. And the two of them have places they want to go tomorrow in between or after the surgery.I had to put my foot down and said we will leave whenever my sister who is having the surgery wants to.And also that we will take the day as it comes and not plan extra activities!!It's a scary day when I have to be the voice of reason!!!
A beautiful morning here.Snow on the way, could be a big one!

Morning, Phyllis...
Ya-hoo for you both!!
Your retreat sounds great Phyllis!
You sound elated, Phyllis, and I don't blame you with results like those! Boy, would I love for Tim and me to go to something like that. He is the most private person I've ever known, and it's almost impossible to get him to open up. The upcoming series you're going to attend should make things even better. I'm really happy for you. Good luck finishing up your painting today.
It's another sunny, warm day today, and I'd really like to go back to the beach. It's getting kind of late for it though, because we're having dinner with the family at my sister's at 4. We haven't gotten together since New Year's Day, so it should be nice. Sure wish the rest of the family in MD were here.
I'm still a little sore from the yard work and squatting, etc., at the beach yesterday. Mainly, the muscles in the back of my neck are sore from looking down so much. I am going to get out and walk. It's just too beautiful to stay inside.

You sound like your whole weekend has been blessed, Phyllis! What great timing this retreat was for both of you. Doing something like that is such a great way to renew your marriage and remember why "we married the guy in the first place."
I hope some of your good feelings rub off here. I can actually say that DH has been more considerate this time around with my foot. Maybe there is something in the air.
