It is a beautiful, crisp, winter morning. The sun is shining. It is cool, though...33 degrees. So I decided to bite the bullet and do a quick run on the treadmill. Hit the bench for triceps and abs and that was my workout this morning.
I'm dragging this morning. Hoping my eggs, canadian bacon and cheese omelet will perk me up a bit.
Lots of water on my agenda for the day.
Meeting with the child psychologist this morning. Looking forward to it/not looking forward to it. Then off to the office for a couple of hours.
Hugs, ladies!
Sassy :)
Morning, Phyllis...
Today my bod is a little sore from yesterday afternoon's workout.
Yesterday was awful, I was so tense all day.I ate everything but finally got my journal out which helped so much. Why don't I do that more????
Thanks so much for all the good thoughts and for just being here to listen.Sassy, I hope your appt. at the school goes well.I'll be thinking about you.Hope everyone has a good day.I'll jump on the board later tonight and let you guys know how things went.

Today I'm headed for the gym after work for some cardio on the MFH and maybe a little weight training...abs at least.
Patty, you and your sis are in my thoughts. Hope all works out well for her today.
Have a great day everyone!

Patty, will keep your sis in my thoughts and prayers, too.
Have a beautiful day, all!
Good morning! Beautiful morning here, so I'm feeling good. Have a busy day ahead. This morning at 10 is our District 2 (15 clubs) meeting with the Lt. Gov. of FL for a question and answer session until 11:30. There's a half hour social and then a lunch/speech by the Lt. Gov. Should be pretty interesting. I'm going to wear a new coral and black knit outfit that I got for Christmas.
Boy, did I get an upper body workout yesterday! We're changing home ins. cos., and they want a picture of the front and one of the back of the house. We've basically ignored that back yard all winter, so it required a major clean-up. I used manual trimmers and a tree branch cutter to trim down about a 9 or 10 foot holly

Better do the cardio today, along with abs work. And I better do it early rather than later. I'm more likely to fail when I postpone it to the afternoon.
Other than that, I'd like to tackle that mound of papers on my serger desk in the bonus room.

Spring is in the air here. No, we can't start planting things yet, Rhonda, but the air is definitely softer - hoping the biting winds of winter have gone elsewhere for good.
Phyllis - marriage retreat sounds wonderful, and in such a beautiful place. Hope the rest of it goes well.
We did have the kids for their sleepover at last. Are all 4-YO boys hearing-challenged, or do they not listen as training for being grown men? I love my nephew to death, and his single-mindedness is admirable when he's focused on accomplishing a task, but he will not pay attention to the word "no" or "stop". He thinks flashing his big brown eyes at me is all he needs to do to get away with something - maybe it works with his mom, but it doesn't work with auntie. My niece, meantime, has grown so - she's a pleasure to be around. Not that she won't debate you on virtually every point of discussion and try to wear you down (and she is relentless), but she has learned to compromise and even be happy with the final decisions, even if they don't all go her way. I'm happy that they're finally going to be getting their own rooms at home - they need desperately to be separated - and I've been drafted to help with the decorating. I have been waiting for this for a loooong time. Colors and themes are chosen - red/green/blue/yellow, medium-wood furniture and transportation-related graphics for him, soft pink/lavender/green, white furniture, and butterflies and flowers graphics for her.
A negative effect of having the kids visit - healthy eating is sacrificed sometimes and workouts are hard to accomplish. Had more carbs this weekend than I've had in 5 months; I can rationalize by saying that it wasn't sweets as much as pasta and bread/pizza and it was only for 48 hours. And I'm back to healthy eating today - fish for lunch and dinner, and good snacks for between-meals. Workout tonight will be a hard one - not for punishment, but because I need it.
Have a great day, everyone! Moms - I'll say it again - you are angels!
