How's everyone doing? I actually ran 1.8 or 1.9 miles in 22 minutes (11-12 minute mile), no pains because I had some great stretching beforehand. I've really not been able to run more regularly, but today I just got desperate to run and did so in 47-degree WINDY weather. I still want to do abs work today.

I think I reported in for yesterday that yummies and me are bonding. Latest is Girl Scout cookies. Gained back the pound I lost, not surprised because in the last two weeks I've not exercised like I've needed to. Add on the cookies... and they're bonding around my middle! Still, I'm seeing muscles build. Is it possible to have muscular ab flab? LOL!

hey! Great job on the running! That's wonderful time.

I'm sitting here shaking from my workout... I finally was able to make it all the way through Kathy Ireland's Advanced Sports Fitness tape! I almost wimped out halfway through - I'd gotten further than I had before, and turned off the tape cuz I was a bit winded. Then I turned around, turned it back on, and kept going. as a buddy of mine would say, YAY ME!

Okay, 'fess up girls - has anyone else ever cried after a workout? I was so thrilled, proud, relieved, that I had made it through, that I just sat and sobbed afterwards. Thank goodness no one was around!

I just had some yogurt for my after workout snack... and now I've gotta hit the shower. Then it's turkey stirfry for dinner... I've been doing really well on my eating while Alex is gone. Taking advantage of the opportunity to eat just what I want, when I want and whatever happens to taste good to me without having to think about whether he eats it too... I'm using it as a "reset" kick butt week!

Oh - and I've started back into tai chi. I used to do it YEARS ago and found a website with the moves for the first form. I'm gonna look for a local class but in the meantime, I can start with the stuph I remember. It's so relaxing and at the same time, energizing.

Okay - shower time.

Good for you! No, can't say I've cried after a workout, but I've definitely had a rush of ecstacy before - like when I first did the Body Sculpt all the way through, or when I ran that race back in November. Nothing like it!

Is the Kathy Ireland's Sport's Fitness a good workout? How coordinated do ya have to be?!

Two FREAKY things happened to me today that I can't help but wonder if our discussion group on The Purpose Driven Life didn't have something to do with!!!

After our birthday lunch, I decided to make a quick run by the Hallmark store, the beauty shop to schedule a cut, and to the grocery store for a few things. When I was in the checkout line, a young woman who lives down the street was doing the bagging, and we struck up a conversation. She was telling me about her nephew, and I mentioned to her that Rob had filled out applications to bag there 3X since his birthday in Dec., but had never heard anything. The woman cashiering asked me what his name is. I told her, and she wrote it down. I had never seen her before, and I'm in there constantly. Turns out she is the TRAINER for new employees and said they may be getting ready to hire some more 15 yr. olds!!!! We had a good conversation, and I think they'll be giving Rob a call. That might never have happened if something hadn't made me decide to run in there on the spur of the moment

I got my run in early this morning and I'm heading to do some weights now.Have been looking at some of the spring/summer clothes in catalogs.Need to get it in gear with fitness because one day it will be warm and those winter layers will be coming off.
