How's everyone doing? I actually ran 1.8 or 1.9 miles in 22 minutes (11-12 minute mile), no pains because I had some great stretching beforehand. I've really not been able to run more regularly, but today I just got desperate to run and did so in 47-degree WINDY weather. I still want to do abs work today.

I think I reported in for yesterday that yummies and me are bonding. Latest is Girl Scout cookies. Gained back the pound I lost, not surprised because in the last two weeks I've not exercised like I've needed to. Add on the cookies... and they're bonding around my middle! Still, I'm seeing muscles build. Is it possible to have muscular ab flab? LOL!

Got in 3 miles on the treadmill in 34.42 min, and concentrated on abs and LB weight work tonight. Love those plies! I might have finally found something to do to make my thunder thighs less thunderous that doesn't hurt other parts of my body. Good stretch after, too!

Finished dinner - left-over salmon and steamed broccoli, with one of the SBD's riccotta creme desserts in chocolate almond.

Watched the O'Reilly interview with Mel as I did the weight work and plies. I didn't find anything different from the one a few weeks back that was on ETWN; I think that was the best interview with Mel so far - it was more conversational than "network talk show" -and the depth of his feeling about this film and his faith came through better than anything I've seen since.

oh - plies! I love plies too. I always feel like I'm doing a really good thing for my legs when I do them. And yeah - they're the one form of lowerbody workout that I can do really really hard without feeling like I'm risking knee or lower back problems (which I have to be careful with for lunges especially but also squats if I'm not being extra-special careful...)

sorry to not answer you earlier, cussette.

yes, i think the Kathy Ireland _Advanced Sports Fitness_ tape is a good workout. my whole body is feeling it today...

it's definitely not for beginners. for one thing, it moves pretty quickly and takes a fair bit of stamina, imho. more importantly, she doesn't spend a lot of time "instructing" on how to do basic aerobic moves - if you don't know how to do a safe lunge, squat, plie, etc, you shouldn't do this tape.

otoh - i'm not particularly coordinated, so it's not a difficult tape in that respect. oh - and there's some cute guys in it too. i'd be quite happy to have them as cabana boys... ;-)
