Trying again...............

Just wanted to let you all know I have been lurking and reading your posts. I have been somewhat embarresed to post. I finished school in Jan and have been looking for a job. Nothing happining in my direction, unfortunatly. I have been awful with my eating habits, yet again. I need to get control and it is not easy. I have been going to Curves every Monday through Friday now for about 3 weeks. So that is something positive. My youngest sister is getting married in September and she has asked me to be her Matron of Honor so I have a specail reason to want to get fit and look good. I do not know what the heck I keep waiting for, maybe that magic pill? I have toyed with the idea of doing the Curves diet again or even that South Beach as many of you have done with sucess. But for some reason I have this gut feeling it would be more difficult, especially with my family. I did rejoin WW and I lost a few pounds but my mom had joined with me and she quit and is doing the South Beach diet now. So I have no buddies to help me along. Plus until I get a job money is a big factor and I would rather my money go to my Curves membership each month. Well I am going to restart WW on my own and use the scale at Curves to weigh myself on a weekly basis. Just wanted to know I am going to try and pop back in and participate. Being here helps so much and heaven knows I need all the help I can get.
Debbie

Hi, Deb...nice to have you back. Don't ever feel embarrassed to post. I can't even tell you how many times I have fallen off the wagon.
I am trying to do WW too. So I can be some help. Also...go to their website...you can get a weekly newsletter sent. Good ideas in it.
Sorry the job hunt hasn't worked out yet. Probably a hard time to find one. Hang in there and something will turnup.
I will be home Monday and Tuesday if you want to meet. Now that I am driving again, it will be easier.
Hugs...Good luck!!

Neither is losing weight and finding an effective workout. Once again, just keep trying. You have time to accomplish some kind of loss before your sister's wedding in the fall. That's two seasons away; somehow that sounds longer than counting the months. Congratulations and best wishes to your sister and BIL-to-be.
Have you lurked over at i-village's South Beach Diet board? Except when people get snippy with each other, which hasn't happened lately, it's a pretty supportive group. Check it out.
How's Katie doing with her racing and riding?

Welcome back, Deb! Don't be embarrassed. I've been off the wagon so long, it's become the rule rather than the exception. Of course, that doesn't make it right or an example to follow, but I hang out anyway. As the seasons are changing, I feel I'll get back on track with things again. Winter is just very tough.
I hope things go well with your job search, so you'll be able to get it resolved soon. Maybe that's contributing to the difficulty you've been having with eating and exercising. Emotional times make it harder than usual. Since you've been toying with the idea of trying the South Beach diet and you'd have a buddy for it with your mom, now may be a good time to give it a shot and see if it's for you or not.
Anyway, glad to see you back. Don't be a stranger.

Don't beat yourself up on getting back into a healthful program. We all fall off. I'm back into exercising after 2 months off... and I still haven't been able to resist certain foods. Keep it up with WW, maybe you can team up with someone else in your WW group to be a support buddy. Whether you stick with WW, or try the SBD or Curves diet, it'd be a kick-start when you combine it with working out. No matter what program you choose, it's only as good as you're willingness to stick with it. Even folks on the SBD have to get back on the program when they fall off. Wish there *was* a magic pill!

I've not been into WW lately, myself, so don't feel bad. I like the program, but I am not good about journaling. If I don't journal, little baddies slip in & I manage to maintain IF I work out. What good is that??? I need to get myself into gear!
Don't ever hesitate to post & Hugs,
Kat
