Super, Phyllis!!! Fitness Facility Director certification will be wonderful to add to your many qualifications!!! Have a great time.

Hope everyone has a gorgeous Saturday! It is simply beautiful here in E. Texas - perfect weather! I will pound the pavement, as Miss Sassy girl says, have a good power walk/run and also do my total body workout w/weights and abs today - the whole sha-bang.

Thanks for the movie review, Phyllis - I want to catch "Hidalgo" at the matinee today, hold the popcorn, please!

Enjoy the day, all!

SNOW???? Yikes! I'm not complaining about the rain we're having ;)

Except that it's goofing up my workout plans. I may have to resort to (shudder, shudder) the DreadMill. DD and I are working out together today. Cardio (maybe we'll hold off and powerwalk after the rain moves out this afternoon), squats, lunges, chest & shoulders. She's suddenly announced "I'm fat...help me". She's not fat. Although she does have a wad of tummy. I think it's "baby" fat that is the precursor to a growth spurt. When I tell her she is getting ready to grow...she rolls her eyes. However, we are doing something right...she knows the way to lose is to EXERCISE not DIET.

I spent yesterday evening pulling together my list of duties for my job. I am SOOOO Underpaid. They are SOOOOO lucky to have me. The fact that I accomplish all of this stuff in a week amazed even me. Seriously though, it's no wonder I'm so stressed. It will be an eye opener for the personnel director and the boss. It was for me.

Today DD and I are cooking and baking. Tomorrow's church lunch is "ladies bake-a-thon". We all bring covered dishes and tomorrow we're also bringing "from scratch" desserts. DD and I are making black forest cake. I'm also throwing together a lasagne to take. Cleaning, laundry, PDL study are also on the agenda. Then we're heading to a "celebration of life" party at a neighbor of my in-law's. Husband and wife, our age and the wife was diagnosed with ovarian cancer 28 months ago. She fought with every fiber of her being and took chemo almost up to the end. She passed away last week. The funeral service was Thursday. Today her husband is throwing a huge party. They had no children. We'll be doing that later this afternoon/early evening.

Phyllis...have fun this weekend. Sounds like a blast!

Patty-cakes...hope your finger is not throbbing as much today. Sorry I had to hang up so abruptly yesterday! Wildness in the church office, you know ;)

Hugs, you gorgeous women

Sassy

Good Morning,

No snow here but lots of rain and damp and chilly so this morning's walk was on the treadmill and weights.

Just dropped off Otto off for this day of beauty--he always looks so sad when I leave him there. And of course with the rain that new and improved doggie smell will be quickly gone-not that Otto will mind.

Usual Saturday of capturing dust bunnies etc etc.and hearing the whirl and spin of the washer and dryer-sounds better than doing laundry.

Have a good day everyone.

We ran the A/C a few times last night. I'm still wheezy/scratchy with this slight cold - I'm taking a leftover prescription decongestant from several weeks ago to try to clear it up. Didn't get my workout in yesterday, though the house looks neater (picked up a bunch of stuff). So, I'll try the Body Sculpt today. Easy to make dinner of tuna cakes. My big plan for the day is to hit that consignment sale, then Kohls - I've got an additional 20% off any items purchased with the Kohl's card. It's spring wardrobe time, for both Allison AND me. I'm a tougher customer!

It's sunny & mid-70's already, so I'm pretty sure we should hit 80 today. My plans are to head outside and do the things I'd wanted to do earlier in the week that kept getting put on hold.

We may go see "Starsky and Hutch" tonight. I'm voting for dinner out too, so I don't have to cook.

Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday!

Afternoon ladies!

I actually have the house to myself. The boys left early this morning to head to Ohio to pick up the car trailer. They are heading into PA on Sunday night and then to NJ on Monday to pick up Robbie's new race car. So its a girls weekend here. Problem is I am the only one here. Katie went with a friend to see a horse show for few hours. She is getting back around 3. My MIL is due around that time and the three of us are going to see the new girly movie. Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen at 4:20. After the movies we are heading to dinner and a local resturant and then home. I think I will stop at the video store and rent that Under the Tuscan Sun now and maybe pick up a bottle of wine. My MIL is going to spend the night since my FIL went with Bill and the boys. No exercise for me today. Did the Curves program 5 days this week and I am taking a rest. Tomorrow is our town's St. Patrick's Day parade and we are going to walk it with the girls scouts. Its about a 4 mile walk so I will count that as my exercise. Well off to finish making the beds, and run the vacume. Then maybe sit and enjoy a book for a little while. Enjoy your weekend!
