Decided to pound the pavement. DD didn't want to go, but DH convinced her to go. Did my usual five minute powerwalking to warm up and then jogged for 20 and cool down for 5. She was giving me a hard time about my pace (slow), but who had the last laugh???? I was still going strong at the end and she was moaning and groaning and whining. Being the mother-of-the-year that I am (not), of course I did the "told you so" dance several times :)

Hit the weight machine for chest and shoulders for me and free weights (biceps and triceps) for DD. Enjoyed our time together.

Starting the days duties...

My friend picked me up this am, we got lattes, then drove to Bremerton.

I worked 4 1/2 hours in the yard today and can probably do that much tomorrow. It's not that the yard is that big, it's that there are that many little oak leaves wedged down among the blades of grass. I raked, bagged, hauled, spread them around shrubs and flowers, and then watered them to weight them down. A neighbor said he'd sharpen my mower blade for me tomorrow, so I can mow after I get the rest of the leaves up. I'd like to edge too and trim back the dead part on the hibiscus.

It felt really good to work outside. I had more energy and felt better mentally by far than I would have if I'd stayed inside. Dogwoods and azaleas are starting to bloom, and I've seen some butterflies the last couple of days. I do have some soreness in my right tricep and some numbness in 4 fingers on my right hand, so I have 2 super minis by my spine on

I had a very nice day - not one iota of cleaning was done!!!! LOL!!!! If I had a husband, he'd disown me!

My powerwalk/run was 4 miles and did a great weights workout/abs. Exfoliated and cracked open the bottle (of sunless tanning spray). Did some shopping and took in the movie, "Hidalgo". I ate quite light today - Cereal, yogurt, fruit, a little of my popcorn before the movie, and a Subway on wheat w/tons of veggies. I didn't have a big appetite today. Must be because spring is here early this week!!!

Tomorrow, 2 Sunday School classes and then I have to work. This week will be a long one - 29 hours at Dillard's! I am taking Friday off from the Realtors to be with Danny, though, so that will help with the exhaustion (I think, unless ds decides to wear me to a frazzle). I have another adventure planned for my lunch hour Tuesday! Hmmmm....

Oh, yessss, he's perfect!!! I catch him on ESPN sometimes. I'm glad you're enjoying getting your certification. If I could go to the FOF gig in Oct., I sure would wish for Viggo Mortensen to be my personal cabana man. Didn't I tell you guys I like these poetic, eccentric types???

Did a 2.4 mile run in under 25 minutes - close to a 10-minute run. Yep, hip muscle is tight. Felt good running, and I was a lot stronger than I was Wednesday, despite my slight congestion. Did the entire Tony Little abs workout (made it through advanced), then hit the floor for 14 regular pushups.

Aside from that... I did shopping! Lots of hours, but a reasonable day. A few things for Al, a blue suede jacket (80% off) and flannel zip up shirt at 1/2-price for me. I liked the flannel zip up shirt so much, I bought one for SIL - if I get a turtleneck to go underneath, I'll have her Christmas present for next year! I tried on a bunch of things, but still am not finding what suits me. I still have a few more places to hit, but I might be out of style for another year!

Phyllis, I checked out Kendell Hogan's site. Yeah, he'd make a good cabana guy too! The video looks interesting.
