Drs visit

The dr was very nice and things went pretty well.Since the cut went so deep he thinks I should keep the stitiches in longer than a week.I could go back to ER to have them taken out but because a few different things are going on I want to get with one Dr and stay with him. So I'm going back to him next week.Turns out I pretty much smashed the tip of the finger, not sure how that will heal.I also broke the bone further down so I have keep it in a splint.Bending it will do something to my tendons and damage those. The nail will be 6 months til it is regrown and will be tender at times til then.I can't believe so much time to heal something that happened in seconds. So now I have an awesome bandage and splint on my finger.
I went to school with this guy.His first words were"you're 43?"I had one of the earlier birthdays in my class.Another way to word that would be to say I was one of the older ones in my class but I like the first phrase better.Anyway I told him he should hand out pain pills in the waiting room....just before you fill out the form that asks for your weight and age!!!!!!

Boy, when you hurt yourself you do it up right, don't you? I'm glad the visit went well, and I can see why he was surprised by your age. Sure hope it mends totally and quickly, but in the meantime take it easy there.
Hugs,
Rhonda

You gave your real age?????
Obviously, you're still heavily medicated.
Sorry you still have such a bummer boo-boo. No thought in flipping off bad drivers on the road, though, huh?
Shawn had half his toe nail removed (on purpose) today. He's a good sport. Not your usual "guy" about being sick or hurt. He's more like his momma...just give me drugs and leave me the heck alone. I love that in a man. He appears to have received my GOOD genes...thick wavy hair (a good thing on a guy) and not a whiner when he's sick. He'll make some woman a great husband (as if the right woman actually exists for my first born!).
Hugs, Patty. Let people do things for you. (or MAKE them do it for you).

Oooh Patty Cakes please take care of that hand.

Wow, you really did a number on your finger, Patty! It is amazing how much it can hurt and it has it's own heartbeat to go with it. Hope you heal quickly! Listen to the Doc so you don't injure your tendons. Tendons can take up to 9 months to heal...which is what I am going through now with my foot. I cannot move my big toe at all because they had to lengthen the tendon.
I agree about having pain pills before writing down your age and weight. To me, getting on the scale is one of the worst parts of going to the doctor.
Get well hugs!

I think the doctor meant "You're 43? You can't tell by looking at you!"
Take care of that finger. It has a bit of notoriety among us now!
