"Just Do It" is my motto this morning. Just put the workout clothes on and hit the pavement. I'll be heading to the lake and back. 34 fun-lovin' degrees here, but I really think I need the outside air.

Shoulder is still hurting and has radiated up to my head. I feel like such a whiner this morning! Already whined to Phyllis in an e-mail.

Having lunch with the girls today. Probably chinese. Tons o' work to do at the office. Feeling like just saying, "forget about it".

On the bright side...darlings are all up and moving with smiles on. Always a bonus!

Tossing some laundry in will be my 15 minute project of the day.

Hugs.

Sassy

I'm heading out to the wonderful world of chickens soon.At some point I am going to get on my treadmill and get some exercise.I feel so completely lousy.Fighting side effects from the antibiotics and a left over migraine from yesterday.Everything I do takes twice as long.People have truly been wonderful to me and I appreciate it so much. But they also feel the need to tell me every horror story there is about my risk of infection and my nail coming back in.If the last 43 years doesn't send me into therapy the next 6 months are sure to!!!!!And if my service guy makes one more wise crack about my finger and the auger I'm smacking him!!!!So far I've only talked to him on the phone today he's coming by.Ok, that's my vent for the day, thanks :)

Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!!!

I've said I would exercise Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, and didn't follow through. So I'm NOT going to make any exercise committment today. DD is going to Mom's Morning Out and I've got some things I'd like to do - auto parts store, Hancock Fabrics and maybe Merle Norman to use an old gift certificate that I've yet to use. I just don't get in that part of the town that much.

Mornin'Ladies

It's another gloomy dreary damp day today but the smile on my daughter's face this morning did bring a certain glow to the day!

Workout was on the treadmill this morning. I wasn't particulary enthusiastic about the prospect but 30 minutes and 2.25 miles later I do feel better.

I'm meeting with my literacy student again this evening. I've been exploring different ways to help her with spelling and reading that as she puts it "that was fun". Another area of my life that I've been a bit discouraged about but hopefully things are coming around.

Nothing else new in this neck of the woods-just the usual paying and non paying tasks of the day.

Hope your Wednesday is a good one!

Good morning!

Ah, yes - family visits. So nice - especially with a built-in escape hatch....

The realtor is coming over - at least I think she is; she has some grandma duties to fulfill and already warned us she'd be late arriving, and I'm hoping we won't have to postpone to Thursday. At least DH and I will be able to have dinner before she arrives tonight.

No workout tonight. I'm trying the 2 days on-1 day off method; it's timely that we have that appointment tonight - it'll help me stick with that schedule. It's working so far.

Yesterday's dire predictions of a "major snow event" (whatever happened to "blizzard"?) have turned to nothing - the big coastal storm will be too far east of us to cause any difficulties. There's another on the horizon for Friday coming in from the Lakes region, however. So much for the imminent arrival of spring.

I've already got some weekend activities planned - painting the kids' rooms at my sister's house. Hoping to do that Saturday to have some recovery time Sunday to finish up the tax questionnaire for our accountant.

Getting busy at work again - too many deadlines, too little time. It's feast or famine here - one day I don't know what to do first, the next I'm envisioning animal shapes out of the bumps on the ceiling....

Susan - Congratulations to your daughter! After the struggle she had with the paper and the happy results of her good work, you all must be bursting with pride.

Have a great day, everyone!

Phyllis--good for you for being able to go to OKC and miss a few days of the visit LOL...

The last time we had relatives here they came when I had my foot in the cast (not my side of the family), and the kids were going under beds looking for things "can I have this??"..thankfully they didn't find things too embarrassing..then they sat in front of the tv with the volume on 10 (that's the highest, right??) most days, and I was expected to cook because they showed up for all meals.

How I wish I would've been mobile and gone to OKC.

Better late then never my father used to say. I went to Curves this morning after doing my morning house hold errands. Made the beds, did 2 batches of laundry and then dropped of the lunches to the kids at school. Went to Curves and did my 10 minutes of stretching and 30 minutes of activity. Before I started I went on the scale...........bad idea! I was 141 last Wednesday and this morning its up to 144. How can this be. I was pretty good in my eating. I have beed going and exercising like crazy and this. Lets just say I would have cried if I were alone. I did my 30 minutes, got in the car, cried all the way home and then ran/walked another 20 minutes on my treadmill. Had some baby carrotts and a sliced red pepper for snack and then jumped into the shower. Had a hair cut appointment and then went to the grocery store. Back home for some soup and tuna and some vacuming. Well here is it about 4, Katie has riding at 4:30 and then she has Girl Scouts at 7. Inbetween we have to make sure the homework gets done and dinner gets out. Busy afternoon. Does anyone have any ideas...........this is one very fustrated lady here!

I'm so sorry to hear of your frustration and of your tears. Not sure I have any great ideas since I'm battling my same old 8-10 pounds myself.Do you enjoy your treadmill?I really love mine.If you do like yours and will use it could you maybe mix up some walking on it? Maybe faster walks one day, longer walks another. If you have an incline on your treadmill maybe challenge yourself with that one day.I'm trying to keep a food log to keep track of what I eat.I really do think that helps me stop and think before I eat.You have alot going on in your life, give yourself credit for all you do.And decide how much you really want to lose the weight and just how much you're willing to put into it to lose it.Maybe you want to lose 10 but right now you're at a place where you can only give enough to lose 5.It really is about balance and keeping it all in perspective. And know we're here for you!!

I don't have any words of wisdom but let me try to point out a few things that I read in your post.

If I understand correctly, you just got back to working out again and you've been very faithful at it.
