Hey.

Pounded the pavement to the lake and back (3 miles). It felt good. Still resting the shoulder so that was my excuse not to do abs (that and I was running really late and needed to get to the office). DH is off tomorrow so we'll get in a good cardio workout (of the exercising kind) and I know we'll do abs because it is the one thing I can crush him in (and it IS all about competition, you know).

Have done great with my eating. Have done great with my stress level today (lots of deep breaths). Have done great drinking my water. Taking the boys to piano in a few.

Later!

Sassy

I haven't accomplished anything in the way of exercise today. But I have had a great day as far as eating. And I even cleaned my bathroom. That is a biggie with 2 good hands but doing it with only my left hand is major biggie. It took forever and lots of muttering but it got done. And I've gotten to be such a big girl about cleaning my finger.I hate any kind of wound on anybody. And when it is on me I big time hate it.I am such a wimp.I'm wearing a sock on my hand to CL but that makes it hard to use my other fingers. So today I went out and bought baby socks to put on just that finger so my others will be free.Pretty cute!

Oh my but it's been a day...just as I was leaving for work this morning the phone rang and it was the school where DD works saying she was dizzy, naseous and having an asthma attack. She was in the ER Monday morning where she was diagnosed with a type of environmentally caused asthma. Fortunately DS was off from work today so he was able to go with me to drive her car home. Once the nurse at school had her use the inhaler she started to feel better but they felt it would be better if she went home. I went with her into her classroom to get her things and couldn't believe the smell coming out of her classroom and this film on her classroom computers and books and papers. The entire school is encased in scaffolding and the temperature of the building was at least 85 degrees. They don't want to say that my DD's problems and problems that other teachers are experiencing are being caused by the construction going on in this building and the principal announced today that anyone who feels that they don't want to work there because of complaints about their health she would gladly sign a transfer form. So much for concern about your staff and students. Needless to say it was a rough start to the day after not sleeping and work just seemed to drag on forever. But home at last, I need to start dinner and then get Otto out for his walk and I think that will be it for me for the day.

I took something for an allergy headache, but have gotten a lot done today. I did a pretty heavy duty cleaning in Rob's bathroom, scrubbed the floors in there, the hall, the great room, dining room, and foyer, cleaned the kitchen, used the Swiffer mop to get up dust balls, scrubbed some of the woodwork, put away clothes I'm going to eventually take for consignment, watered the flowers, shrubs, and some of the lawn, put out new air freshener plug-ins, and dusted. I'm pretty tired suddenly.

I was excited to see a baby bluejay eating seed from the feeder I put out, and the tangelo tree is getting blossoms. Can't wait for them to open to smell their heavenly scent.

Got my UB and abs workout in - YEAH! Later, when Al was at the birthday party, I ran about 1-1/2 miles. Last night and tonight I've been icing that muscle in my hip just to see if that begins to help. Funny, running seems to loosen it up, but after cooling off and resuming normal activities, that's when I notice it twinging.

Finished my UB/ab/cardio workout a little while ago, and dinner is warming up. DH is taping the rerun of the Sopranos season premier episode for a friend at work; we got to hear again a terrific song by Emmylou Harris, "Heaven Only Knows", that was used to open and close the show. Have to find the CD that song is on - DH and I are both hooked on it. It got to me in about 5 chords.

My now nearly 5-YO nephew left me the cutest message on my answering machine - it made me smile after a very long work week. He's all excited about helping his mom and me paint his sister's room tomorrow. His room will be done in a couple of months and he has already given Uncle Peter his orders to help!
