I got a lot of work done around here yesterday, so my main plan is to go to our Red Hat Chapter 3rd Anniversary luncheon at the River Club, which is probably the most exclusive club downtown. It's at the top of the 2nd tallest building with a beautiful view of the river. This is a different one from where we had our Peyton Christmas gathering. It was across the river on what's called the South Bank. There are at least 220 women coming, some from as far as Amelia Island. We are all supposed to wear our boas this month to look extra festive, and some of us from the Gator Bowl Parade are going to wear our purple leis too. This group is not subtle! Should be great fun with excellent food. Dear Helen will get to wear red clothes and a purple hat, or in this case her tiara with purple stones and a red light-up heart since it is her birthday month. I'm taking my camera.

I hope to be able to get out in the yard in the afternoon to get more done there. I really enjoy it.

Have a great day!

Rhonda

Geez. You people are way to peppy this morning. Thankfully, it's contagious ;)

Pounding the pavement on this phenom Friday. DH is off today. We'll do our usual workout together, have breakfast, shower and go our separate ways for the day. I have tons o' work to do in the office.

FYI: Been keeping a food journal this week. Has anyone here been to a nutritionalist? With my GERD issues, that are really flaring up, I'm not sure what/how to eat anymore.

Busy weekend planned, as always. Going to start working outside in the flower beds, I believe, too.

Have a PF!

Sassy

Morning ladies, still on cloud nine here. I have a fairly non busy day here but plenty to do. I am heading off to Curves this morning about 9:30. Home to do some laundry (what else is new), I have to get my 2003 papers into order for Bill and I are meeting with our accountant on Monday. Other then that I have nothing planned. Even though I do not start until the following week I might go through my closet and find stuff I can fit into now and maybe press some clothes. I will then figure out what I need to fit back into and maybe hang some stuff outside the closet as some sort of motivator. I also need to find out about the afterschool program for Katie. I think one day a week (like Wednesdays) I will have her stay there until I get out of work. She can do her homework or use it as play time and its only $9.00 for the day. I got my mom to cover on Mondays. That leaves Friday's open and maybe between Bill at the shop, or the young girl next door I can work things out. But today is a good day with smiles from me nonetheless. All of that will work out!!!!!

Good Morning,

I can't say that there is too much on the agenda around here today. The sun was shining brightly although a bit on the brisk side but the sun has since disappeared.

No workout again-just can't seem to be able to get myself moving the past few days. Work with a paycheck today-just love every other Friday! Trip to the Dr after work to have my blood pressure checked followed by a trip to the grocery store, immediately followed by take out dinner and that's about it.

Hope everyone enjoys A Phenomenal Friday!

I'm not sure what's up for today.Heading to my treadmill and need to do some kind of toning today.I read in a magazine that if you do some exercises on a folded towel, things like squats, bicep curls, you have to work harder because you are also working to maintain your balance. Some trainer has his clients do it.Want to try that.

It's sunny but cold here today and so windy. If I were the whiney type I'd complain!!!!

Good morning!

Except for my dissatisfaction with the outcome of The Apprentice last evening, today is a good day. I awoke to sunny skies - not the predicted rain and snow showers - and that cardinal singing his tail feathers off. I also saw a deer outside my window in the yard today - I've seen many (usually too close to the side of the road as we've driven by), but none standing quietly in the yard and none that big that didn't have a full rack of antlers.

Workout tonight is cardio and UB/abs work. Dinner is uncomplicated - leftovers to be eaten or disposed of. With fresh veggies, of course.

Other than painting at my sister's house Saturday, no special plans are in place. Taxes Sunday, and maybe going to see "The Passion" - the commotion has died down up here and we might be able to just go when we want to rather than have to buy tickets in advance.

Prevention Magazine is promoting "National Walk to Work Day" on April 2. As I would have to leave at 4 am or earlier to walk all the way (not to mention risk life and limb along the highway), I'm going to meet a coworker along the trolley line and walk with her from there. It'll be a longer walk than the one I take on my longest route at lunchtime, but it will be a great way to start the day, as long as the weather is nice. Maybe we can head over to the path along the Charles River and walk there, although I imagine it will be SRO at that time of morning.

Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Your Red Hat group sounds like loads of fun! Every since seeing your posts about it, I'm coming across their activities *everywhere* it seems.

Relieved to see I'm not the only one who's not gotten in many workouts this week - did my first one yesterday. I'll try LB work today, stretching for the tight hip muscle, maybe one segment of one of the two Jennifer Kries' tapes I bought the other day. Ought to do abs, too. I've lost 3 pounds so far since January.

Other than that, just a little grocery shopping. Instead of doing carry out tonight, I might make a pizza here at home. I've got a recipe for "Pizza Fresca" that I modify, and it's so much lighter than frozen or restaurant style.

Happy Friday Everyone,

It's a very busy day at work but I'm up because next week is spring break and I have a whole week off of work.
