Ya know...I've been busy all day but I haven't really done anything.

The memorial today was very nice, but emotional, of course. Mom and Dad wound up not going, because she has been having so much trouble with hot and cold spells and not feeling well in general. Toward the end of the service, we all took turns going up and lighting a candle in memory of our loved one, then we could say who it was for. I was doing OK until I saw Lisa upset and that blew it for me. I could barely say that it was in memory of my BIL, John Weatherby, muchless say anything about him. Luckily, Tim was able to do better than I did. Almost immediately, my stomach began to feel upset, and I got physically sick to the point that we didn't go out to dinner. I didn't even eat any of the food at the reception afterward, because I kept running to the restroom. Guess it was just emotions. The man who sang the song there was the minister who preached the funeral service and sang for my Uncle Charles in late Jan.! What a coincidence. I went up and spoke with him afterward in between trips to the restroom. He totally remembered it.

When I got home, I was sick again, but then was OK. I decided maybe I'd feel better if I got outside and worked in the sun. It was 80 at the time. I changed and raked the whole side yard then watered with the hose by hand the whole front and sides just to have something mindless to do that was soothing. It felt good to be outside, and I still was able to get some things accomplished. I also enjoyed seeing the additional flowers I'd put out yesterday.

Tim was teasing me because the other night I was saying I couldn't wait until morning so I could work in the yard. That's the way I get. I've felt that way several nights, but when I know I have beautiful flowers to put out, it's really exciting. I'm thinking maybe we should add a dogwood tree. They're blooming around town now and are so beautiful! The azaleas and Bradford pears are really coming out now too. My tangelo had buds and I could smell the faint smell of their blossoms today, so they should be opening soon.

I'm pretty beat tonight, so will just take it easy and watch Law and Order and probably Crossing Jordan. Hope everyone has had a good weekend. Rob's on spring break this week, so I don't have to get up at 5:45. Hurray!!!

I made it thru work today, but my leg is still swollen. I am going to try to find a new doctor to see. I guess the only things I can do are elevate it, take vitamin E and wear support hose.

I managed to finish reading "The Purpose Driven Life" this morning and am proud that I finished the whole book!! I'm so glad that we did that study and I thank Michele for leading the discussion.

I have another long week at work, so I doubt I will physically feel up to going to church this next Sunday, either (have another 15 hour weekend to pull). I can't understand why Dillard's scheduled so many hours for everyone when it's really unnecessary. I just want to prop up the old legs on my days off & read a good book!

I hope I feel up to some kind of workout tomorrow. I ate quite well today, had a Boca burger for dinner w/veggies.

Thanks, Phyllis. I admire you, too! I appreciate the compliments, although I don't get it ALL done and I'm not a good mom ALL the time! I like to shoot for it all, though! I will have to tell you that you and this board have helped my positive outlook immensely. I DO admit to episodes of whining and self-pity, but on the whole, I know I will be motivated at this board by all of you. And Phyllis, thanks for the physical, spiritual and mental doses you provide through your daily postings.
