A femur is such a large bone to break too! I talked to her daughter a few minutes ago, and she said she came through the surgery fine and is doing better than expected (The power of prayer!) and has been pretty perky all day. She will probably be up to visitors tomorrow and may get to go home Thursday. She'll have to use a walker and give the break about 4 weeks to heal before she can begin rehabilitative therapy. I'm recommending videos or books instead of flowers to help entertain her while her mobility and activities are so limited.
THANK-YOU ALL so much for your prayers!

Prayers coming Helen's way. I'm glad to hear that her surgery went well and praying for a full recovery. She certainly sounds like a lady with a lot of spunk!

I will add my prayer to the list as well for your friend.
My father did the same thing and had to have surgery last year. He is 87 years old.
Rhonda,
I was just catching up on posts and saw your prayer request for your dear friend Helen.
