We indeed got the snow and are continuing to get snow. I, however, unlike Donna went to work totally unprepared-no hat, no gloves and nothing but my work shoes. I leave work and of course must begin the task of snow removal from the car. I toss my bag into the car, start the car, take my snow brush out hit what I think is the unlock button. I clean off the car, attempt to get back in the car and much to my embarrasment-the car is locked. I'm now standing the parking lot with no hat, no gloves, my purse in the car with the car running. I head back to the office to find all the lights out and the doors locked, my cell phone in the car as well as my keys to the office. Fortunately, my boss on his way home had stopped in the men's room. He drove me home to pick up a spare set of keys and fortunately I keep my house keys on a separate ring and in my jacket pocket. How many days until spring?

Spring comes in this weekend.I'm thinking of having 3 day party to celebrate.Friday will be the "kiss winter goodbye" party.Saturday will be the "Hello, Spring party!".And Sunday will be just a reason to keep the Cabana boys an extra day.Can you make it????

Keys-locked-in-the-car-story #2: Dead of summer, mid morning, about 100 degrees in the parking lot at the grocery store. I had just witnessed, from one car behind, two unmarked police cars stop the car in front of me, the police leaping out of their cars with guns drawn and aimed at the car they'd stopped. I threw my car into park and ducked under the dashboard, heart pounding, feeling my eyes bugging out of my head and wondering if shots would be fired. No shots. When the police secured the suspects, they came around and got all the traffic unsnarled around them. I proceeded to the market, shaking like a leaf, hopped out of my car in a tizzy, and locked the door with the motor - AND the AC and radio - running. And walked away a few feet before I realized what I'd done.
Fortunately the pay phone at the market worked, DH was home, and he got a ride over from our very nice neighbor who has helped us out of a couple of transportation-related crises over the years. I had to explain again to DH what had happened because apparently I wasn't totally coherent when I'd called....
The end.....
