Good morning lovelies-
It's gonna be a busy day around here...work, meeting, packing, Sheba to the beauty shop

I'm in the mood for a really good workout. When I come in from CL today I'll jump on my treadmill and get some miles in.I'll work up a good sweat and pretend it's hot summer day.
Hope everyone is feeling well today. Rhonda, enjoy your time with those beautiful children.

It is cold and overcast this morning. 34 fun-lovin' degrees. Only had rain here, no snow or slush or anything like that. I really have no excuse for not getting out and power walking to the lake and back. Did I mention it's cold and overcast???? I might have to hit the treadmill instead :) Also have some body parts to strengthen with weights (but can't remember right this second which ones...I think shoulders and tri-ceps). Will take it easy on the shoulders.
Pleasantly sore from yesterday's workout. DH was quite impressed with my back "coming along nicely" were his words. It's nice that he notices.
Player's volleyball clinic tonight. DD and I will be spending some quality time together. Our first practice isn't until April 12 or something. Ridiculous to have the clinic know and then the team doesn't get to start practicing until then. I'll have DD out practicing with me, though. Especially overhand serves. We're not giving any of them a choice...they'll have to serve overhand. They're going to hate it. Especially since we probably won't be winning many games and not any matches. The lead coach and I are focusing on skills. This is a developmental/competitive league. They are 7 and 8 graders. Next year, if they continue playing or want to try out for their high school team, they'll need to have good skills.
In the office the rest of the day today.
Later.

We ended up having about 2"of snow by the end of last night. It's icy and snow covered and pretty much yucky but I just know there are robins out there somewhere!
Workout this morning was weights and pulled out a walk/kickboxing tape that was different and kind of fun to do.
My menu is set for the day. All my meals are planned a week in advance-only one trip to the grocery store per week. That way all my supplies are in the house and when I walk in after work I'm set to go. I've really been perusing my new issue of Light & Tasty magazine so tonight's menu will be a new version of Sausage & Peppers with turkey sausage and a big salad.
Tonight I need to make sure that all our tax material is together since tomorrow is a date with the tax man so that will be my 15 minute project.
Hope your Wednesday WOWS you!

Been scarce - the November 1998 Playgroup on ParentsPlace *almost* got merged with other 1998 boards. We've been active, but have had no leader for a few months. I decided to go to the mat on behalf of the board, and so we're not getting merged. The good news is that traffic on the board has surged because of the near-miss. So I've been posting a lot over there. Also been tossing around ideas for revamping that board's Who's Who. Heck, I still need to get Allison's website updated.
Menu - I'll be doing a roast in the slow cooker, with carrots and scalloped new potatoes. That's as close to Irish as I'll get!

Well, except for the really tall buildings, the stupid Boston drivers who are still doing 60 down city streets, and the slippery brick sidewalks, it sure looks like it. I'm not going to dwell on the weather, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not! By the way, more snow predicted for Friday.....
I blew off my Tuesday workout. Felt like taking a break because I downright deserve it. Got a glowing report from the doctor. BP, down - 110/78. HDL - 99!!! LDL - 120. Trigycerides - 96. Weight - holding steady at 17 down. Blood count - excellent, at the top of normal range. Kidney and liver function - same as blood count. EKG - normal. Except for one trifling issue, I'm a-ok. The troubling issue has occurred before, but nothing came out of further lab testing. We'll see how it goes this time and worry about it later if I need to. And I celebrated further with a bbq rib dinner. I thought of you, Phyllis!
Back to the straight and narrow today with both food and exercise. I'm not even stopping for my peppermint latte this evening. Unless it's really cold....
Have a great day, everyone!
