Have a safe trip, Phyllis. I'll miss ya. You're the one that keeps ME motivated.

What a bizarre morning already. DH is trying out a car-pool. He's being detailed to another job for a year or so and the woman who's job he's taking over is in this car-pool and is trying to get him to join it. I'm so used to him getting up at 4:45 every morning and leaving. It's 6:30 and he's still here. He was supposed to work out this morning, but he didn't sleep well so he blew it off (what's up with that???), he's showered and is meandering around. Thankfully, he knows to stay off the computer! Actually, he's already been on. Also, it is the middle of March and we have slush on the ground. Yucky weather.

So, once again, I am stuck on the treadmill. Then it's on to abs and, possibly squats and lunges. Legs are really sore from all the workouts and then 2 hours of volleyball practice last night. It's a good sore, though.

Thankfuls. I am very thankful in my life. Today, though, I am mostly thankful for those willing to risk their lives day after day for me, for us, for freedom. No matter your politics, no matter your position on the US being in Iraq and Afghanistan, the American and allied soldier is doing his/her job on a daily basis. Missing the birth of a child, the death of a family member, the graduation of a child. Possibly losing his/her life. Living in apprehension, anxiety, dust and on rations. Mostly not knowing when, or if, they'll come home. I encourage all of us to focus our thoughts and prayers on them today and to add them to our prayers every day.

Hugs.

Sassy

I'm thankful my grandpa is doing better (he was hospitalized two days ago). He has pneumonia and other complications, but for 91 years old, he's doing pretty well.

I'm thankful my children are all here with me and that God has given them the strength when things get tough to hang in there or get help. Please everyone, I ask for your prayers today. My dd's good friend committed suicide two days ago (hanging). His father is a very good friend of my family. My sister, brother, and I went to school with him. Such a sad sad thing to happen. God be with his family at this time.

Tweety.

I am so sorry to hear about your friend's son. I can't imagine the nightmare they are living right now. Sending prayers for them and your dear family.

Good Morning,

Phyllis have a wonderful and safe trip to OKC.

It's another gray and gloomy day with light snow continuing to fall as it has been since yesterday. Temperatures below freezing with more of the "S" word predicted for tomorrow. Pretty yucky.

Workout was squats and lunges this morning and 30 minutes on the treadmill. As always, some prework cleanup, work and then meeting with the tax man. I don't think I'll be feeling like cooking by the time I get home so I think I'll treat DH to some form of dinner to either celebrate a refund or crying over writing a check! Hoping for the celebration part!

Thankful this morning that I have a nice warm place to live. Thankful too that I know spring is out there somewhere!

Workout is done. Early Jazz class.

Thankful for no sugar fudge bars, a healthy hubby and life in general.

Hope you have a marvelous time Phyllis. I'm sure Sassy will keep us in line.

Phyllis - have a wonderful visit with your family!

It's still snowing here. In response, our next-door neighbor plugged his Christmas lights back in!

I got in a solid workout last night. I shook it up a bit with some moves that I don't usually do and with increased weight, and I'm feeling the effects this morning, especially in my shoulders and hamstrings. Tonight I'll do 30 min of cardio and stretching, especially for my hips - the left one is acting out again and needs to be disciplined!

What am I thankful for today? That great dr's report. Most everything else pales.

Hope you all have a great day!

If Allison goes to her little friend's house today, I'll be doing some property tax research to challenge our assessment. Oh joy. So I'm thankful for friends with kids of their own! Also thankful for consignment sales. Picked up a few clothes for Allison, already preparing for Kindergarten next year and giving her a few summer things since I know she'll outgrow her current outfits by August. Thankful, especially, for my husband. We had some great dinner/kitchen clean up conversation last night. In fact, instead of rushing to head out to the consigment sale, I decided to hang around because we were really enjoying each other's company. I still got to the consignment sale an hour later than planned and there was plenty of stuff left ;^).

Still have not gotten around to working out. Maybe today.
