~*~Monday Madness Workouts~*~

Anyone watching the basketball games? Since the Terps are out...I've stopped watching. Mostly from lack of time!

What's the workout plans for the day? While you're at it...plan your workouts for the week.

Anyone have any words of wisdom this morning? Mine are that I've decided I'm too busy and it's really stressing me out. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out, however.

Busy day. Busy week already lining up and I'm not happy about it.

Check in later this afternoon and post your updates. Workout accomplishments, food issues, ideas, etc.

Hugs :)

Sassy

We had a wonderful weekend! Friday our church had a Preschooler's Night Out - read "Date Night" for parents. The Cus and I went to a new local Italian restaurant which was wonderful. Mid-priced, and we discovered that we were slightly underdressed in jeans. You don't go there expecting the Olive Garden - no canned ingredients, and no spaghetti on the menu! The Cus had Fettucine Alfredo with shredded chicken, and I had the Homestyle Canneloni (sp?) with both a cheese sauce and a tomato sauce - to die for. Service was excellent, and the manager actually delivers the meal and tops your dinner with fresh Romano cheese. The owners of our restaurant have one in Greenville SC, too, and here's a review .

I worked 4 hours at the local humungo consignment sale yesterday, and then joined Allison at a friend's house for a birthday party. It was an airplane themed party for a little boy who was turning 4. Even the games centered on planes including "Pin the Tail on the Airplane" game. Before they started the game, Allison announced "I think you should know that I'm good at this game." LOL! Not like she plays it all the time! But wouldn't you know it, she won.

Sunday, church, and taking it easy. I got a 2-1/2 mile run/walk in. There's a women's 5 mile race in mid-May that I want to do, so I need to rebuild my stamina if I'm going to make it. Iced the hip. Watched the RV 2004 show last night on HGTV - we love watching the home shows, even if it's a product we'll never buy, like an RV. Last night I applied heat to the ol' hip joint, and it feels *much* better this morning. The Cus asked me if I'm going to be heating/icing the hip after every run - until this pull goes away, yeah, but considering rest didn't help it, it's just going to have to work itself out.

We woke up to much chillier weather this morning (33-degrees) after not getting below 55 for over a week. Frost warning tonight. I'll get some sprinting in, as well as LB/UB work and abs work. I'm ready to get back on an exercise schedule after 2 weeks off again.

Good Morning,

Another chilly, windy morning here on LI. But the sun is shining and the sky is a beautiful blue.

Workout is completed for the day with weights and treadmill. Eating definitely had issues this weekend so trying to get back on target with that although I do find it easier during the work week as opposed to me being home where sometimes I forget to eat and then when I do eat I'm so hungry I just eat too much.

I'm off and running now to try to tackle some of the household agenda before heading out for the 9 to 5.

Enjoy your Monday.

Good morning!

Did someone say it's spring? Just checking to make sure I heard right. It is most definitely NOT spring up here. Temperature may not make it into the 30s today. Daring to wear sandals is tempting fate - and frostbite. Until the thermometer registers 50 degrees for a week, I'm sticking with the faux-fur jacket, the leather boots, wooly mittens, and, dare I say, earmuffs. If this nonsense keeps up, my Easter outfit will be -well, dark, bulky, and warm!

Weekend was fun. Went to my nephew's birthday party Saturday - the one for the family. I think he's experiencing the terrible twos 3 years late. My niece was tolerant of the attention he got. She quietly read a book in the midst of the commotion with several of their cousins around. My eating Saturday was compromised by devil's food cake and pasta, both of which I enjoyed; getting back on track this week. Only worked out Sunday - and just cardio at that. Hitting the weights seriously tonight.

Have a wonderful day!

No words of wisdom here, I'm afraid.Although already this morning I've decided scales are stupid and men are hard to figure out!Or is it vice versa???Well whatever.

Heading to my treadmill soon. My plans for today keep changing which is putting me in quite the mood!!!Add to that a high of 40 degrees and winds of 20 mph!!!!Sheesh how much can one princess take!!!And can you believe someone asked me earlier if I was whining????Would I do that????

Ok I'm going to work out so at least I can sweat and pretend it's warm.I think I'm going to do some weights today along with a run.I think I'm going to run til I get all the grumpieness out of me.Should be interesting to see how long that takes. When I finish my run I will be a charming woman who rolls with a changing schedule and embraces any weather. Yeah right........

Who turned off the heat!?!? It was 51 and windy this morning, and we'll be lucky to hit the mid-60's today after being 88 yesterday! We may even have frost tonight. Geesh! At least it's very sunny.

I know what you mean about cutting out activities, Sassy. I've decided to cut back on doing some of my Republican Women's Club activities, so I'll have more time to devote to the campaign itself and to probably become more involved in the other Rep. women's club here. From what I've seen, they just seem to be better organized and more professional.

I've been on the run this morning to several nurseries, Lowe's, and Walmart. Found a reasonably priced dogwood tree, which I bought. Also, got 2 more stargazer lily plants, 4 alstroemeria (Peruvian lillies) plants, 5 dahlias to add to the front flower bed, 6 bags of top soil, 2 bags of Scott's Turf Builder, and 1 green pepper plant (and a partridge in a pear tree)...

I will definitely have my work cut out for me today transplanting, planting, and digging up sod to be able to plant the dogwood. Also, those pollen catkins ("oak chandelier earrings") are falling everywhere, so I need to rake again. My calves are sore from walking at the beach yesterday. I figure I had to do well over 100 squats, since I found 97 sharks' teeth. That should help some, but unfortunately, not my middle.

Have a good day everyone!

I went to Walmart this morning, too. Didn't buy any plants...it's in the 30's today and just not "plant buying" weather! Windy, windy, windy. Cold, cold, cold. I'm feeling particularly testy.

On a positive note, the cleaning ladies are coming today so I'll have a nice clean house. Two levels of it, anyway. If I sent them to the basement, they'd never return!

Started my morning with a screaming match with my daughter. HATE THAT. I completely lost it. So I bought her underwear and sox at Walmart. Trust me, it's our thing! I am so frustrated with her attitude about school and everything in general (although that could just be MY perception!). I'm thinking chocolate will help me, if not both of us.

German dinner at school tonight. Can't even remember what I signed up for, but I'm sure it's fattening.

Enjoy your planting time. I'm jealous!

So sorry to hear about the shouting match -- ah, the joys of a mother-daughter relationship! ;-) Chocolate always helps at least for a while.

Good afternoon, everyone. Busy, busy, busy - I can relate, Sassy!! Madness on Monday is RIGHT! I woke up late - hence no workout. After working 15 hours this weekend, I think my body is rebelling! I have been eating pretty good, though. I bought some fresh fruit, frozen fruit for the fruit juice smoothies, and other healthy stuff at Walmart this a.m. as I had to run errands for work there, anyway. Drove by the plants and those at Home Depot - nope, too cold here to get out and look for flowers. Yes, I'm a wimp and I'm whining about our weather. It was supposed to be a sunny day - gray and cool (40's).

Speaking of matches with kids, DS and I had a shouting match last week about something ridiculous (a fundraiser for athletics - his school's incentive for selling $50. worth of donkey basketball tickets was for him to get out of running for 2 days! I said that was ridiculous & they should be ashamed of themselves!). The Realtors Assoc. ended up buying a bunch of tickets so he'll get the stupid prize. Sassy, I hope you and dd have a good rest of the day today. The early teen years are so difficult (Danny's hormonal outbursts actually began when he hit 11!) - and then when that's subsided, I have to deal with cars and women!!!!

I have to work every night this week (but have all weekend off), so I have to get acclimated to waking up at 5 a.m. to get the duff in gear on the workouts.

Have a great day, all!

You're brave to go out in that cool air! I can't bring myself to go to the nurseries unless it's warm! I still want to buy some azaleas!

Your pictures of the babies are so cute! Thanks for posting them.
