How is everyone today or is it too soon to tell?Has anyone found the warmth most of us are looking for???
I love coming to the board and reading what's going on with everyone.Deb's new job is so exciting.Love that Nancy's DD will be close and has a great job to look forward to.I think Rhonda has melted all our hearts with those beautiful babies.Every time I thought of them yesterday I smiled. And I love to read about how everyones day goes and just in general what's up with everyone. This board is such a bright spot in my life.I get to be with fascinating women and never have to leave the farm!!!
So what's on your plan for today? The chickens acted up again last night so I never made it to my weights.Maybe today.I want to get a run in though doubt it will be a long one.Hoping to get to a few things that I didn't get to yesterday.Looks like overall the excitement level for the day will be low:) But something just tells me it will be a good day!!!
Hope you each have a great day!!

I'm curious.

Keeping you in my thoughts about the situation with the little boy.

Welcome back Phyllis! Have a great day, everyone. I don't think spring has sprung yet & I don't want to believe the forecasters about today's temps - they were wrong yesterday. I am taking an extra jacket today! I FEEL for you ladies up in the Northeast!
Crack the whip on those chickens today, Patty, and show them who's boss!

So, do you think it's a sign that I woke up anxious, stressed, agitated, snapping at my children and talking back (and not nicely, I might add) to the newscasters and weatherman because I didn't agree with them/wasn't happy with the forecast? I've even been arguing back and forth via e-mail with my husband over a "yes I DID tell you about it"/"you never told me about this" (Yes, I did tell him, by the way...he just hears "wah, wah, wah" when I talk.
Yes, I do believe part of it is hormones. The other part is my life.
This is NOT a negative, whiney post. This is a positive post. I'm blowing off work today. After I drop the darling off at school, I'm swinging by the office and picking up one quick thing I absolutely have to take care of today and then I'm coming back home.
I am going to get a nice workout in. Not one that I have to rush through. One that I can take two hours doing, if I want. Then I'm going to fix myself a good, healthy breakfast and I'm going to sit down and eat it. Slowly, savoring each bite and drink. Then I'm going to do my bible study/devotion/prayer time. And take as long as I darn well please doing it/feel led to do it. I'm going to work on laundry (which I don't mind doing) and put things away. My home office is a wreck and I'm going to work on it a bit, taking my time while I do it. I think I'll fix bacon and eggs and pancakes for dinner, which the family loves, especially when it's cold out like today. I have a coach's volleyball clinic tonight, too.
Tomorrow will be back to the grind. But I'm really just on the verge of some sort of a breakdown and I'm hoping today will help me from going over the edge!
Hugs.

Patty thanks so much for the compliments. This is a great group of ladies, that I take my hat off to everyday. As Phyllis asked.........how do chickens act up? You peaked my curiousity. Phyllis you and Johnny are in my prayers for the little boy you are trying to adopt. Please do keep up posted.
As for me, well last night at 10 Bill took one look at me and said........go upstairs and get under those covers. So I did, but my head was spinning. I just want to make sure I remember stuff without sounding stupid to him. I am going to run to Staples today and buy myself a small note book so I can keep notes on things I learn. This way I do not have to ask the same question 3 million times. I also want to buy some or a pen. All that was in the office were those inexpensive black clicky pens. I like fine points and a better made pen. Silly I am sure but little stuff like that drives me crazy. He just uses what ever is on the desk. I was thinking of buying like 2 Parker Pens one reg point and the other fine......and leaving the regular one on his desk. What do you think? I stayed awake this morning and made the lunches already and made Robbie's bed. Need to get into this habit, so it makes it easier to get up.
Its freezing here, yet again. I wish the warmer weather would arrive. Its 18 degrees now and the high is only supposed to be around 38. Like I said before to chilly for me to go walking outside. I guess Curves will have to do, yet I find I am not enjoying it anymore. Maybe because I have not seen or felt any different. But I will do something to move my butt. I have two bathrooms that need my attention and several batches of laundry. Later this afternoon I will have two extra girls and then off to a GS First Aid class. What does everyone else have going???????????

Welcome back Phyllis. I'm glad you had a great visit with the family. I'm also keeping you and Johnny in my thoughts and prayers with the adoption.
Patty-we all need to know-how does a chicken act up-is there a uprising brewing in the coop?
It is indeed another very chilly day here on LI. But I'm loving the bright blue sky and the sun even though I really don't enjoy it as much as I like being indoors all day...but at least I know it's out there! I'm still seeing small signs of spring on the trees and I'm loving that too! The one thing I will not be missing is the cold after dinner walks with Otto. I had two sweatshirts a sweater, hat, hood and gloves and it was still COLD! Otto chose the shorter route but still had to make his umpteen stops along the way to make it all worthwhile. I was wondering why he picked up the pace at the end, it wasn't because he was feeling sorry for me and my blueness or him being cold. He found a discarded piece of aluminum foil that he promptly put in his jaw and couldn't wait to hit the backyard to unwrap it and see what hidden treasure was encased inside! Oh the life of a dog!
Anyway, back to Tuesday, I've done my workout with squats and lunges and 30 minutes on the treadmill. Wash is whirring in the washer and tumbling in the dryer and need to clean up the kitchen. DH does the dishes at night but the counters and stove never get wiped down. I'm supposed to be meeting with my literacy student this evening barring snowstorms, windstorms or dark of night.
Hope your Tuesday turns out terrific!

Hey Patty, if those chickens keep acting up, maybe you can use them for your weight work -you know, overhead lifts and tosses! BTW, how's the finger shaping up? More flexibility yet?
It's a blindingly sunny day here, but not warm yet at all. It's threatening to reach 60 by the end of the week, but I want it NOW.
Workout tonight is more cardio and UB and ab work. I like this 2-days-on/1-day-off schedule - seems to be working for me, and I'm not chewing up 90 minutes or so on my workouts anymore. I can actually eat dinner at a more normal 8:15-8:30 hour on the workout days, and at a leisurely 7-7:15 on the days off.
Have a wonderful day, everyone!
