We love that you (or we) can come here and talk and help each other feel better. Sure a lot cheaper than therapy, isn't it? LOL! Other than my immediate family, this is the first place I think of to come share info. -- good, bad, whatever. I'm glad to hear you're taking a break tomorrow. Be kind to yourself and recharge your battery -- physically and mentally. Also, glad to hear you'll get to see your family in June. The way time flies, it'll be here before you know it. I'd much rather leave the driving to someone else!! ;-)
Hugs,
Rhonda

Lori some more hugs coming your way. I am sorry for and about everything. Today is Friday so maybe you can go out and do some shopping this weekend, take a long walk outside, or even just leave and do a girls night out. I think you need one, we all get to that spot in our lives. Just know even though we all live far from each other you are thought of and loved each days by several crazy ladies who understand what you are going through. Hugs again Lori and please hang in there.
Also offering hugs late, but thinking of you. Granted, you both need outlets to refresh yourselves - yours should be Jazzercise, which is not all-consuming. His will undoubtedly be computers... which should NOT be all-consuming. It's telling that when you cancelled Jazzercise because "he misses you" that he kept his nose in his game. Not good - he's becoming a game addict. We're supposed to respect our husbands (women tend to love automatically), but husbands are supposed to love us, too, not take advantage of us. You can't know of his love unless he demonstrates it to you. If truly "he misses you", I think you need to pull the plug on the game and ask him what it takes for you to be a part of his life and for the two of you to have a life together.
Whatever not-so-good news from the doctor you had, I'll be praying for healing.
Lori... it's easy to throw in the towel and say "What's the use?" When you think about it too much - and I've done this - life on it's own has no point. You're born, you live, you survive hardships, you get old and feeble, you die, get stuck in the ground and decay. The people who knew us also die, and in 50 years we're just a name in somebody's family tree. It's all temporary, happiness is fleeting, and the things we put stock in - material things, people, escapist pleasures, a clean home, hobbies - never measure up to our expectations. Material things break and wear out, table tops get ruined, husbands have idiosynchrasies that drive us nuts, families change or turn out different in ways that you don't expect (gee, don't you and I know that one!), pleasures make you long for what's not readily attainable and they don't last either, dog hair stays in the carpet, the cooking and laundry never end, retirement plans and savings can dry up and crush dreams. Life is pure drudgery! We tend to think He's lost, but it's we who are wandering around looking for direction and reasons for things. He's always there, He is the only steadfast thing in this world. I only started understanding this 2-1/2 years ago, after 39 years of thinking I had a perfect grip on life (hah! yeah, right). Even so, Christians are in no way immune from the chaos and curses of this world, and we go through our own pains and doubts - but we're pinning our hope on something bigger than life, and it helps us hang on.
I'm always available in e-mail, Lori, to talk more about anything.
