I think the oreo's scare is over.
Feeling better this morning. Heading to the lake with DH. Might hit abs when we return, if I can find the basement through the clutter...cleaning out the rest of the house makes the basement the "dump" until I decide what to do with the stuff (trash or yard sale).
My fun thing today is lunch with the girls. And I already know that I'm having a steak & cheese sub...splurging today.
Having said that...really wondering how long I'm going to keep splurging before I throw in the towel completely.
15 minute project...dont' really have one planned. Tons to do at work today, though.
Hugs.

Good morning!
I echo your sentiments about your nephew, Phyllis. I know it is a disappointment, but maybe it will be a turning point for his mother, after all. Hugs to you.
Since it gets light earlier, I was able to walk around the yard and look at the flowers and what I got done yesterday. It's a really pleasant way to start the day. Couldn't help but make a mental list of other things that need to be done or I'd like to do.
I think my big project today will be to edge the flower beds and pull all the grass runners up. That will take several hours. My calves are only a little sore from the beach walk Sunday. I think walking through the shallow water much of the time is what gave them such a workout. Feet are still sunburned, but much better.

Morning, Phyllis.
You have a great attitude and let's think positive that she will turn around, Huh?
I'm heading out to CL then getting on my treadmill.Think today I'll walk and use the incline more. And want to try out a weight routine I saw on the Body for Life site.
Phyllis, I hope things work out well for the little boy.Hope the Mom realizes how lucky she to have another chance and pulls it together.
Rhonda, love the pics. Thanks!!!!
Sassy, no do not throw in the towel!!!!
Hope everyone has a great day!!!

Phyllis, I will keep the little boy and his mom in my thoughts and prayers and hope that she realizes how lucky she is to have a second chance.
Rhonda-your picture of your yard is really lovely. Makes me think of being WARM in the great outdoors!
It is a little warmer here this morning and the sun is shining yet again. Sleep was definitely an issue last night. I usually have no trouble falling asleep although last night it eluded me way past my bedtime and then I kept waking up thinking it was time to get up. Needless to say when the alarm went off I was none too thrilled. But I did get up and pulled out one of my walk videos and do feel much better for it.
DH and I will be attending a fundraiser dinner/fashion show tonight for the school where my DD teaches. She is modeling a bridal gown and since her BF is going to be there he's going to be taking a lot of teasing of when that ring is going to appear on her finger! He said he's ready for the interrogation and he has a great sense of humor so I'm sure he can take it. The event is being hosted and emceed by one of the local radio stations so it should be a fun evening.
I'm off now to get some laundry done before work (I think I say the same thing every morning :)!
Wacky, wonderful, wild, whatever your Wednesday holds-hope it's a good one!

I am off in five minutes to go get my yearly physical.

Phyllis, I hate to think that little boy is going to be part of this experiment in his mother's turning her life around. I hope she can do it without doing him any more damage.
Tonight is supposed to be my night off from working out. Going shopping at one of the big malls in the area; it won't be a true cardio workout, but I'll be moving quite a bit. One item I'm hellbent on finding this spring/summer is mock turtleneck, sleeveless ribbed knit tops in a bunch of colors. I think they'll be fun and flattering to wear with skirts and pants. Another thing is comfortable shoes - they're finally so pretty, I hope I can find something that doesn't hurt. My Birkies are nice, but not pretty or feminine.
Boy, none of that sounds meaningful in any way....
Except for calling the plumber about three leaky things at home, I have no "must-do" items on my list.
Have a whizz-bang Wednesday, everyone!

All we've still got up here are mud and murky green where the grass is trying to be. My front lawn is still snow-laden - the sun is too low in the afternoon to cause much melting and it's been chilly. Today is turning a bit - I wore a spring-weight coat to work. Still got the boots and mittens, but making progress.
