Wah. My new laptop at work doesn't have the little squigly guy that used to be over my 1.

Oh, well...

How's your Friday going? Did ya? Did ya? Get your workout in, I mean. And how is that food coming? Drinking tons o' water?

DH and I had an awesome, kick, butt, strip down (while walking) sweat-filled power walk. (What did you think I was going to say?). I have been so pumped ever since. Did not do my biceps and triceps and abs...decided to do those tomorrow.

Food has been good...steak & eggs for breakfast, yogurt for lunch, tons of water to drink in between.

Nexxt.......

Yes, pretty soon I'll be celebrating! I'm excited about my trip up to Frisco tomorrow, and I think I'll stop at the Whole Foods store in Plano (on the way!). I'll head out after Danny's baseball tryouts at 10 a.m. I may do a workout this weekend, and I may not! You never know. I haven't had this much freedom in a long time!!!!

Today I didn't do that great on food, but sometimes you just have to enjoy things. I went to a local bakery and bought cookies for our new Realtor orientation - oh, speaking of blasts from the past . . . my brothers and I used to make a weekly trip to the local bakery in Lakeland, FL when my mom was divorced and we each were allowed to choose our favorite cookies. They were so yummy!! The cookies I bought today tasted just like those Florida cookies did! I bought some Easter Egg sugar cookies, pecan sandies dipped in confectioners sugar and chocolate thumbprints! Yep, I had to sample all 3. I DID stay out of the donuts, though. Had a Boca burger for dinner, and breakfast was light, so maybe I won't do TOO much damage. LOL!

Sassy (Saucy) there's no telling what you might say ;-)

Had a hard run this morning and really hit the weights harder than I have in ages at the gym.

Yessss! I finally got a workout in! Between 7-8pm, but about 45 minutes, including abs work, a brief UB workout with pushups and some weight work, and about 1.7 mile run. Felt SOOOOooooo good!

Playdate with my friend was great. She and I have so much in common, from giving up so much in our own careers to be a SAHM to our dislike of ironing to buying store brands to save money. Her son and my little gal get along great, and they were *wired* yesterday. Unfortunately, Allison hurt her foot - longer story than it needs to be, but suffice it to say her left foot remained planted on a non-slippery surface when a bumble bee startled her and she turned to get away from it. What concerned me is that the pain was in about the same spot on her foot as when I broke mine 3 years ago (5th metatarsil, left foot). She was able to put *some* weight on it, didn't hear a "pop" like I did, no visible swelling, but it was tender to the touch and was hurting her even when she was just sitting there. I finally decided to have it x-rayed - if it were broken, I'd want it diagnosed then, not after a day or a weekend; if not, at least we wouldn't be worried. Fortunately, it was *not* broken, and the doc said if she didn't have any pain by the time her gymnastics class rolled around on Monday, there'd be no problem. Kids have more cartilage than we do, so I guess that made a difference. Also, she was wearng socks, so even though she was on a non-slip surface, that must've provided some give. Today, she's favoring her left foot just a bit, but an ace bandage is helping tremendously, and she says it only hurts if she stands on her tiptoes. Whew!
