Soppy Saturday Workouts....

It's raining, it's pouring...

Grrrrr. But it's not going to get me down. Going to hit the treadmill, abs, biceps and triceps. Didn't have to get up early, so DH and I slept in...NICE ;)

What's on the agenda for your day, girls? I'm taming the paper monster this weekend. Collecting any pile I run across (only a couple) and bringing it all up to the office where it will be filed, destroyed, etc., and the office is going to (finally) get a good cleaning. I'm only coming out for laundry duties. Sounds thrilling, doesn't it? I know you all are jealous of MY life!

No plans for this evening. Maybe rent a DVD and gel out with the kids. Going to plan out food and workouts for next week sometime this weekend. Princess has me motivated to do that, as does Dr. Phyl. Who else does that??????

Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend.

Hugs.

Sassy

I can't stand the smell of frying fish either in the house. If Dh wants it, he has to go out on the patio and do it even in the winter. Thankfully, he doesn't mind. We had some fresh caught cod last night. A friend got it and shared. It was grilled on the BBQ so I wouldn't have any fish smell in the house.

Enjoy your quiet weekend and your "light" workout. You are like me...I give up my bed when we have overnight company too. It is easier that way to have the guests in the one bigger room. I don't have to worry about grandkids falling down the steps either that way. Thank goodness the aerobed is very comfortable.

That dinner sounds so yummy! I love chicken...it is my favorite and DH is wondering when he is going to start sprouting feathers we eat so much.

Very busy day for you. Sounds like a well rounded one too! Enjoy your trip to the coast.

Have a great weekend.

That is good that you got to sleep in a little this morning. Hope that means that you are a little more relaxed as well as "spring fever". Thankfully, the sun will be out this afternoon here.

Do hope you get that new dishwasher in. Seems like things are moving along in the house.

Good to see that you are pampering yourself a little today with a color and cut. I did it this week...got some subtle highlights for the first time and a cut. I felt like

Looks like you are having a very busy day too, Nancy! Looks like everyone has plans here today. I wish I got a cleaning bug...I pick up the big pieces too often.

Enjoy your dinner with friends. It is good to connect with friends and have adult conversation sometimes.

Have a good one.

Yum! Yum! Dinner sounds like it was delish!!!

My favourite trick when roasting chicken now days is to cut it up the back bone and butterfly it. Cuts the cooking time way down!

My favourite recipe these days is take a couple of lemons and slice them up, then careful put them under the skin of the chicken. Then I take the juice of a lemon and pour it over the chicken, brush with some olive oil and sprinkle it with some mixed herbs and salt and pepper. Lay it all on a bed of fresh rosemary, onions and celery. Roast until golden. You can baste with the juice once in awhile if you feel like it.

They had a big article in the local paper about Jazzercise this morning and mentioned the big convention next weekend.

Going to do some UB weights later on. Don't know if I'll get cardio in today or not.

They've been callin' for rain all week, and while we've been getting a bit, but also some glorious sunshine and the wind is warm!

Had a wonderful dinner with old friends last night. We cooked on our stones (kind of like a fondue, but you use a marble slab over alcohol flame). It was so yummy and much more healthy than fondue. We had teriyaki beef, mandarin ginger pork and chili garlic prawns, a whole mix of veggies (asparagus, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, zucchini and peppers) and herbed rice with cilantro, parsley, garlic, saffron and tumeric. It turned out a very pretty pale yellow. Lots left over for today's lunch too!

My house is nice and clean as I did that yesterday, so all I have on my plate is the two overflowing laundry hampers! Also need to run a few errands. Think I'll just relax today. I like the idea of planning the meals and exercise for the coming week. Think I might try that out too!

Kids are definitely expensive!! I remember when Rob was playing baseball and other team sports and all the equipment, fees, travel, and other expenditures. Of course, it's no better now with a $600.+ surf board, a wet suit, a
