I am so pi**ed off that my body won't tolerate Jazzercise anymore. Now that might not seem to be a big deal to anyone here, but fer crying out loud. I went steadily for a year and a half and I'm terrified that I won't be able to maintain the progress that I've made without going to class. Am I doomed to be either musle-achy and joint-achy for the rest of my life or will it be a flabulous life? Can you say mid-life crisis anyone?

I know what I need to do. I need to find something to replace Jazzercise that makes me feel good and doesn't hurt. I've reviewed a dozen new videos this weekend and I'm not that impressed. It just seems like nothing will measure up. Am I crazy? I'm going through withdrawl! ACK!!!!

And I got some more results from the doc today. My cholesterol is up...205 and he's not concerned about it but it irritates me. I've always been right around 180-190. So if I let up on the exercise now, will my cholesterol get worse?

This is starting to feel like I'm living in a soap opera....

Grrrrr

Oh yeah, we have a pool nearby and I plan to get as wet as possible this summer. Our landlord has an above ground pool and he says we can use it for cheap.

There is no way I'm getting on a horse! That's just crazy talk. Besides, I doubt it if the horse likes it any more than I would. I know they seem to cooperate, but I dunno. I don't like it when my dog lays on me, I can't imagine him sitting on me and barking commands.....

Thanks for the suggestions.

Yeah, Ashtanga might be more her cup of tea if she's looking to sweat although it can be done with just about any type of asana practice. The class that I attend is a Vinyasa style flow class and we usually wind up sweating pretty good. I enjoy the Kundalini to build awareness of self and to find peace in this crazy world. I find the meditation when I have time is very relaxing and freeing (is that a word?). Plus, the flexibility exercises are definitely a bonus.

Been there and done that too Nancy. Before Jazzercise, I was power-walking all over the countryside. I got bored with it because of the terrain here in the flatlands. It's not terribly challenging and I can hardly bring myself to get on the treadmill. All that walking and not going anywhere...seems horribly wrong ;-)

Yeah, he said Advil, Tylenol or that naproxin which I have never tried and I'm leery of. So I take Advil and fuss a lot. Last night, I wrapped a warm towel around my foot with the heating pad on top and it was heavenly. Maybe I'll get some hunting socks! Then again, maybe I'll just give my feet and ankles time to heal a little on their own...*grumble*

Bu**er about the Jazzercise. I know how much you enjoyed it. Seems like we're creaking together! Hope you find something new that you can really enjoy!

Hugs,

Susan
