Monday Madness Check-in....

I soooo wanted to blow off my walk this morning, but before I could even think about it, I found myself half way to the lake. Can't say it was the best powerwalk I've had, but it was a strong one (mostly because I wanted to get it over with!). Walked in the house and headed straight to the basement for abs, chest (press & flye) and back (lat pull-downs and bent over single arm rows). There's just something about putting those 2-25 pound weights on the machine for the lat pull-downs that is a mental lift. I am sore this afternoon...in that great, pumped way :)

Food has been good. Spent 90 minutes in Whole Foods picking up some organic foods and picking up and reading labels on all of the soy protein powder containers. Finally settled on one, the store brand. Been drinking tons of water today. Healthy eating, but tonight we're going to Fuddrucker's. I'll try to be good and get the grilled chicken, but their burgers are SOOOOO good. Maybe I'll freak them all out and get a Boca Burger again. I guess onion rings are out of the question. Rats!

I've come to the conclusion that I am going to have to go see the doctor. I need some "just gel out" drugs. Nothing strong or mind-bending (although that IS tempting :) I'm just so keyed up all the time (anxious/stressed), not sleeping well. I keep thinking I can do it all on my own.

Hope you all are having a Mahvelous Monday.

Sassy

Yummy - Fuddrucker's! And I don't mean the BocaBurger.....

Has anyone ever had Mike's Lifestyle Gourmet frozen dinners? These are low-carb dinners -pretty healthy as far as fat, sat fat, and calories are concerned, and a bit high on the sodium. Last Thursday I tried the eggplant lasagna (18 total net carbs) and today the chicken in white wine and mushroom sauce with green beans, red peppers, and Swiss chard (13 total net carbs). Very yummy. However, be prepared for sticker shock! I suppose you're paying extra for two good-sized vegetable portions as opposed to a skimpy veggie and lots of starch. But $7.00???? Yup, $7.00 for each meal. I fell for the packaging and didn't pay attention to the price marker in the frozen food section. I won't be buying them too often. But they're extremely tasty. Need to look for coupons - like there will be any, with the national run on low-carb foods going on.

The afternoon is dragging and I'm ready to leave. I've left an empty in-basket and I've managed to clean up old business. Hope I find my desk the way I leave it. Fat chance.

See if they have a website. Lot's of times they'll have coupons on their websites.

$7.00...geez! Nothing is that good from the frozen food section, according to my pocketbook. I picked up a couple of Smart Ones and Lean Cuisines today and only paid $2.25 for each...'course they're not as good or include as much as it sounds like the ones you bought. Always the way, isn't it?????

Good job on the inbox. Hate mine!

I wandered into the kitchen today and actually did some cooking. Also threw alittle cleaning into things too.Really enjoyed my morning doing the whole domestic goodess thing.Every day would be overkill but once in awhile is not bad.

Had to make myself do a workout. But drug myself outside and got a run in. Then I came in and did my weights.

Here's your fitness tip of the day.Do not have dairy just before a workout.More specifically do not have cheesecake before a run.I guess there is not much need to post about how food has gone now.......

I didn't get any fitness in yet today, but eating has been great and the best news is the weather!! 78 degrees here at the moment! Feels like summertime! Yahoo! Can't wait until the time changes on the weekend and the sun doesn't set until after 7:30! Pure bliss!

I've got a fairly blank week ahead, except for the weekend when we are heading to Vancouver. Hmmmm....what mischief can I get up to?

Been a pretty good day. I did get a workout in first thing. I drank lots of water, ate well and actually made a new recipie that everyone enjoyed-even the boy child who seldom likes anything particulary made with chicken! It was actually still light out when Otto and I ventured out for our walk after dinner. It was nice to be able to see what unedible (except in Otto's mind) object I could snag him away from before he snagged it. There are actually daffodils in bloom and those trees out there have little tiny buds on them. It was a beautiful day and made me long for the good old days when I worked 9 to 2:30 and would have the afternoons free! I've cut up some fresh pineapple and it was so sweet and juicy that I could actually squeeze the juice right out of the skin. Yummmmy!

Well need to get my laundry basket and put my clothes away in the drawers and closet. I hope everyone had a good day and has a pleasant evening.
