How's your Tuesday going so far? I know I definitely need more water, so as soon as I'm thru posting this, I'm rushing to the cooler. Food is ok, so far. Soy/fruit smoothie, Total w/skim milk for breakfast, fresh strawberries & fat free yogurt for snack, fat free bean quesadillas on low carb tortillas for lunch & for dinner I plan green veggies, mainly, with a little of my soy bbq riblets.

I'm going to have to check in again tonight after I do my total body weights workout! Had a little trouble completing my 3 mile powerwalk this morning because of my right leg and hip, but hoping that will clear up this week.

Shar, I didn't know that pumpkin seeds help lower cholesterol! I have a new doctor and am trying the niacin to lower it. I'm planning to have a cholesterol check again in about 6 weeks.

I got my workout in early this morning. A mile run on the treadmill, abs, squats and lunges. Food has been awesome, except for two cookies. You know the storebought kind that just screams...transfat! Left a horrible taste in my mouth!

So I need some ideas for the 2:00 sweet tooth slump...any ideas????

Dinner tonight is tacos (for DH and the kids). Salad and fruit for moi.

Sassy

Hey there, I think I managed to get just about everything on my list done. still have that old washing machine and dryer going but it goes all the time. I did my errands, went to the bank, dry cleaners, post office, had my nails and piggies done, did my grocery shopping and put 90 % away. I just turned the dryer back on and I think I will give the kitchen floor a quick mopping. Katie has riding at 6 so I need to make my meatloaf and have it in the oven before we leave or we will not be eatting any meal until after 8. I need more water too, or maybe some caffine to wake me up!

I haven't done a workout and doubt I will. But I did have a really wonderful day with my Mom.Mom always wears the same style of tops.I couldn't talk her into a different style but did talk her into trying some new colors, that was fun.I also talked a woman who I don't know into trying a new color. She was standing there and mentioned she had lost weight and was still trying to lose.Said she loved one of the colors but had nothing to wear with it.I told her it would look great with the khakis she had on and then suggested another one too that would be fun.I should have been on consignment at that store! The woman also said she had played with the idea of cropped jeans or capris.I told her I had both and loved them and she should go for.She looked so excited and said she was going to.

We had lunch at Cracker Barrel and had the nicest waiter. He let me rearrange the menu so I could get just what I wanted. We went to Costco and they overcharged me on something.I completely missed it but the guy who checks your receipt found it and told me about it.That lead to me going back to get a refund, which was almost aggrivating til I got in a conversation with the woman doing it.She is expecting her 4th child any day now, fun talking to her.We stoped in Martins on the way home. They have the best selection of food already done there and I've always wanted to try their Chinese.Brought some home for supper. They were really nice there and gave me generous portions.I wish it were time to eat now!!!!

I've basically just run from place-to-place today. The Cowford Ball meeting was pretty impressive. There had to be about 30 committee chairs there as well as

I'm definitely a victim of brain fog as I call it. Simple tasks sure seemed difficult today! Not sure whether it's the damp weather or whether it's the fact that I've been up since 4AM. But it's home now time for comfy pants and dinner that just needs to be heated up and no preparation required!

It was a good eating day today, a little low on the water intake but will bring it back up at dinnertime.

Hope Tuesday evening treats you well!

Hi, Margie! No, I get to Dallas about once a year. I hate the traffic! That 635 was a nightmare! However, I had been wanting to visit the Stonebriar mall as I had never been and Phyllis had mentioned the Whole Foods store & that was nearby in Plano. I loved the mall and the Whole Foods place. I visited 2 Barnes & Nobles (my idea of heaven!), but the restaurants were too crowded so I really didn't get to eat where I wanted. I had to leave late on Sat. morning because of baseball tryouts so my time was limited. I drove back around 7 p.m. and made it back in Longview by 10 p.m.

I'd love to meet you, though, sometime this spring or summer. Where in Dallas do you live? Would you give me your email address and I will email you when I find out what weekends I'm off in the near future? I will let you know, and if you are ever free during those weekends, I can drive up there. We could meet at a restaurant or someplace where you wish to meet.

The shopping and the food are among the things I love about Dallas area, but I could do without that traffic!!! I don't see how you keep your sanity driving in it! I wonder if Belt Line Rd. would go all the way out to Plano? Do you know? I took I20 to 80 to I635 N to 75 N - I was a nervous wreck!

I quit running because of my joints. I miss it, though. I sweat almost as much, though, when I do that Walk Away the Pounds 3 mi. video. I try to lift my legs as high as possible and move the arms alot!
