I am absolutely OUTRAGED

I have begun my letters to the New York Times and Washington Post for their horrendous decision to publish the horrific photos of the charred and hanging remains of our four American citizens killed in Iraq yesterday on the front page of their newspapers. This was a total disregard for the family members of our citizens working in Iraq to provide humanitarian services. It absouletly sickened me and my heart aches for their loved ones.

OMG!! I didn't realize anyone published those pictures. Even the news shows only showed the burned car. I can't believe it! How despicable of those newspapers to do that.

My heart aches so much for all the families who lost people in Iraq. I will now have to pray harder for everyone.

You are right, this is an outrage. Even though I live in NY, I don't get the times. Now I am glad I don't.

I'm with you, Sassy. Just the thought of those on the front page sickens me. I remember the heartbreaking picture of the American soldier in Mogadishu from years ago. So let me throw in another thankful - that even though I was in the heart of NY Times country, I didn't have the opportunity to see them. Their poor families.

I haven't seen any pics but heard just a bit over the news tonight that the bodies were dismembered and burnt.

I totally agree with you! It's been pretty well established that the liberal media will go to any lengths to make Pres. Bush look bad, and I firmly believe this was an effort to make his decision to go to war in Iraq look like a mistake and to turn people away from him and his policies toward John (Just a Gigolo)

Apparently, I wasn't the only one to fire off e-mails. Sounds like lots of folks were also very upset.

Well...pictures weren't on the front page, but in Newsday her in NY, two pictures showing the horror were on page 3. I was shaking with disgust that the paper did that as well as having feelings of hate for the men who did this. I know we are not supposed to hate, but this is one time I think it applies!

I think Rhonda has a point about some newspapers are trying to make Bush look worse. Newsday is good at Bush bashing and this is just another example.

Sure makes you wonder how newspapers are supposed to be neutral except on the editorial pages. I believe in freedom of the press, but this is crossing the line.

I hope when you finish your letter you will share it with us. I'd love to see it.
