Barbecue, restaurant reservations, day at the lake, the beach, or in some cases, building a snowman? ;^)

Low-key dinner with family at my sister's house; she includes my ILs in the gathering. I make Easter baskets for the niece and nephew. Weather permitting, we'll take a reviving walk along Revere Beach (a stone's throw from the house) after dinner. It's good to get the little ones out for a bit; they bring us our coats and we take the hint.

We will be doing the usually Easter Egg hunt on Sunday morning. I'm thinking I may just hide some out on the deck and in the back yard this year too, since the weather looks like it may co-operate.

FIL hasn't mentioned inviting the other out-laws over for Easter dinner, so I'm not saying anything! I think I will cook lamb this year for dinner for a change. Of course, if we do end up having them over, it will be turkey yet again. God forbid we change the menu!!!

Hoping to take the kids to the park at the beach and let them muck around in the sand, etc. Other than that, I'll probably just putter in the yard and barbeque.

Having the family here for dinner. Cooking a leg of lamb with all the triming. My inlaws, my parents and my sister, plus my crew of 5. Total head count 10. Seems weird, because this is the first year none of my kids believe in the Easter rabbit. They are growing up. I guess I will ask Rob (14) and Katie (10) if they still want me to hide the eggs for them before I go to bed. I would like to go to mass, Sunday morning. It will be crowded but its something I really want to do. I will get Katie to join me, and maybe Robbie. So that is my plans!

Low key here too. We might color eggs Saturday just because. No kids here...everyone is grown up. Just something traditional to do and then some good egg salad afterwards. Have to have it at least once a year.

I am going to cook up a storm. Hope to make stuffed shells with meatballs and sauce and a turkey. DDs may be here with their partners (a DH and a Fiance). It doesn't matter, I am going to do it anyway...lots of good leftovers then for the week. Just can't let the holiday go by without cooking.

Having dinner here with my MIL and SIL and DD's BF's family here for dessert. Not a clue what I'm cooking since apparently everyone has a different idea what should be on the menu. Think maybe they should make up the menu,do the shopping and while they're at it cook it and clean up after it!

Susan I like your thinking here. Why don't you suggest it to them?

Okay!!! "They" are coming for dinner, but dh told FIL to cook roast on Saturday for them. Then we will have our lovely little lamb dinner on Sunday and watch the start of the Stanley Cup Playoffs!! It will be a wonderful day after all!

We haven't even made any plans yet, so I don't know what we're doing. It will probably be a toss-up between a cookout at my sister's or going to the beach. I tried to contact the new Nazarene congregation out here, but the number listed in the phone book is a private residence! I'll have to do some research on it. I may hide some plastic eggs for Rob just for the heck of it.
