Its a celebration here!!!! Its Friday, its a holiday weekend, and spring just might be in the air! So what is your game plan for today? Who has off and plans on relaxing? Who is going to do their workouts? Anyone cookings, so grocery shopping is on the calendar? How still makes Easter baskets here for their familys? When making those baskets, do you wrap them pretty in the celophane and tie them with a bow?

About the Easter basket question........I still make 3. Its harder now that they are older and do not eat as much stuff. I bought each of them something that is a favorite and tomorrow I am going to get a few gift certificates to the bagel store and the new Subway shop in town. Then I do wrap the baskets with the celophane and make them look all pretty.
Have a great day all and I hope the sun is shining where you are!

Looks like a pretty nice day shaping up out there. I'm hoping that it means early dismissal from work today because yesterday was a disaster. We had no computers, the phones were dead and I was bored out of my mind. I still can't believe that I had to sit there until 5PM. Even the jr.associate was helping me file and cleaning up the files. They still had major problems at 5PM getting everyone connected so who knows what today holds. I have a doctors appointment late this afternoon for another BP check and to find out what the latest blood work shows. Having company on Sunday so need to get the supplies in. To be honest, I really don't feel like doing this meal and thinking back on this I'm not sure I was even consulted on this.
Yes, I still do Easter baskets here. No fancy wrapping. In fact I was out perusing the candy aisles last night.
In spite of having a terrible time getting up this week I did manage to get a 30 minute walk tape in this morning.
Hope your Fit on Friday is fabulous!

Probably do need to head out to the store but not sure if that will happen. We were suppose to have dinner at in laws on Saturday but that has been cancelled, no reason why. That family has just become so disconnected.DH is just as bad as the rest of them. His sister has hurt her back, unable to work and possibly having to move back home. They will need him to move her back but as yet haven't said anything to him.He has yet to ask about his sister or the situation.Maybe I'll wrap them all in cellophane and tie them up with a pretty bow.Or would that be wrong?????
A pretty laid back day planned here, just me and the birds. And these are my houses of very nice birds so life is good.
Have a goo one!!!!

I've already been over to feed the animals and have been back a while. It was easier to just do it myself than to try to get Rob and friend conscious, vertical, and dressed! The sun was peeking through light fog, and it was already 65 degrees before 8. We're supposed to hit mid-80's today. I haven't checked the surf report today, but I'm pretty sure we're going to the beach. Unfortunately, Tim has to work. At least he went to the dr. yesterday and got a prescription for what the dr. said is a nasty ear infection. No wonder he hasn't felt well.
I'm not doing an Easter basket this year, or if I do put the candy in a basket (We have tons of baskets from years past), I won't do the cellophane. Rob gets much less candy and gets 1 gift. This year he chose yet another pair of skateboard shoes. Our gift is half the cost of them, plus the candy hidden in the vegetable bin. I got my mom and dad a Stargazer Lily plant that should have some blossoms open by then. Guess I won't give them any candy this year, since she's been doing the low carb thing (and I should be again).
Have a great day everyone!

Spring has sprung. Sun is out, I didn't see my breath when I left the house, and my light topper jacket actually kept me comfortable as I waited on the platform for the train. All is right with the world.
Not cooking dinner at my house for Sunday, but I need to go to the grocery store for fruit and veggie platters, and to stand in line at the bakery Saturday afternoon to pick up dessert - ricotta and lemon meringue pies - to bring to my sister's house.
Yup, I'm making Easter baskets for the kiddies. I need to find a couple of little books to include in them, to go along with the M&Ms, chocolate bunnies, Skittles, fruit leather, bubble-gum tape, and games. I got my niece something called "Bunny Tower" - you stack them, like cans, until you have all 30 of the bunnies in a pyramid, or my nephew comes along and knocks them over. I got my nephew "Chick-Tac-Toe", where you put chicks on a tic-tac-toe gameboard instead of marking one on paper. I might switch the games - knocking over bunny towers is more his thing than hers. I found pretty cellophane gift bags - much easier and cleaner than taping the cellophane sheet wrappers together; I need to find ribbon for the bows.
Workout tonight is cardio and abs - no UB for a while.
And I promise NOT to eat any M&Ms.....
Have a great Friday, everyone!

DS' basket is made except I have to hide money in one egg & I may get him a gift card from Hastings or Best Buy to add to it. No cellophane - wasted on him! I gave all of the leftover candy away to my coworkers (put it in some plastic eggs for their kids) and ds' dad so I wouldn't be tempted.
Tomorrow will be difficult - 9 hours at Dillard's! A bottle each of white & red wine will be purchased & I plan on watching "Jesus of Nazareth" tonight (I have the DVD) and listening to my "Passion of the Christ" soundtrack thruout today. I will also watch the various shows on the History Channel on the Bible and Jesus. Always a tradition for me to watch those. Every year I watched the "Ten Commandments", but I missed it this year as I had to work. I may buy some matzos while shopping today - we used to eat unleavened bread for a week when I grew up. It was the week of Passover (we weren't Jewish, but believed in observing that part of the Old Testament of putting "sin" out of our lives by the symbolism of getting rid of the leavening). Used to make these unleavened scrumptious fruit bars & I can't for the life of me find the recipe. That brings back good memories!
I hope you all have a blessed Good Friday.
Hello~

It's shaping up to be a nice weekend around here. The weather is supposed to be warm (70s) and sunny for the duration.
I need to hit the grocery store, I think early today before it gets crazy. I have just about all of the goodies for the boys' baskets. I haven't bought a "big" chocolate bunny yet. Will get that when I go out. Also got them a new GAP ballcap and funky Hawaiian shirt each. A Power Ranger Transformer figurine and a bunch of little eggs to hide around (including some outside I think). Will use the baskets from last year I think, but may just get the boys to make some construction paper ones today. I also bought some extra eggs so that we can dye them. Yum, egg salad sandwiches sound delicious. I do have rolls of cello here, but I don't know if I will use it or not.
I'm shocked! FIL is cooking lamb for dinner on Saturday night and the out-laws will be over. DH orchestrated that one! He/we wants to watch the hockey on Sunday night without the monster child ripping through the house, so he told FIL to cook on Saturday. :) Sunday I will make an early dinner of ham, scalloped potatoes, carrots and roasted asparagus.
Today will UB weights for me.
Hello, all...
We are off today, so I woke up at 4 a.m....hit the treadmilll for a nice easy walk at 5!
